Foothills Golf Course - Championship 18 Course
About
The Championship 18 Course at Foothills Golf Course is one of three courses at the Foothills facility, but it is the only 18-hole course of the three. Built in 1971, Dick Phelps designed the course. The public course is 6,908 yards at its championship tees. Although the course is relatively flat, there are some hills that cause uneven lies. The course features other difficulties as well. Pretty lakes and creeks create water hazards that come into play on some holes. The greens are bent grass while the fairways are covered in Bermuda grass. There is also a putting green and on-site teaching pro to help golfers with their game.

HELP!
The back nine of our game was rained out and we were told to contact golf now to to have a representative contact Foothills Golf Course to confirm a rain check. No one has reached out and I have sent an email and called multiple times.
Rain Check
Great course! However, it started raining towards the end of the first nine and we weren’t able to start the back nine. The clubhouse told me to contact golfnow and that they would get ahold of foothills to confirm a rain check for another weekend in the future. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated!
Fun place
Had a great round today with my son. The course was in excellent condition. Fairways, greens, even the rough was lush. Greens are not too fast and are very smooth. We made some long putts today. A couple of the holes are a little tricky off the tee if you’ve not played here before. Use caution... will definitely come back even thought the fee was a little steep at $70 for 18 with a cart.
Basically Perfect
Driving range, Championship course, and patio grill are all top notch! A challenging course in great shape. I really like the ball washers and club brushes mounted on the carts.
Sucks
The wind was 50 mph, and rained... did not get my money back,, the owner is a D Head.. I hope they go out of business.
Fun course, good day, thanks!
This course was inviting enough to give it another go with less wind. It played more predictably with a gentle breeze. The check-in was a breeze. The driving range & putting green were open, nice! The conditions on the course were good. The bent grass greens putted fast and didn't break as much as say Overland's, as my golfing group noted. I was paired up with a 3 some in carts, which was not a problem given the full tee sheet. This course definitely bares its teeth with trees and some native grass to hide one's golfballs. There is a fun exec 9 if 18 wasn't enough. This time the coyotes stayed away. Nice bass in the ponds. I like this course, I'll be back to play it again! Thanks!
Great Course
Loved it. I'm from Virginia visiting and found this course on GolfNow. Was paired up with really friendly guys and it was a great day of golfing. Staff were really friendly.
Covid golf
Under the circumstances the course is in good condition. The pace of play was perfect. Having the native areas cut low speeds up the pace of play.
Great to be back
I always enjoy playing at Foothills. It was great to see some familiar faces.
It seemed all of the courses were busy and the staff handled the influx of golfers at check in about as best as they could due to the social distancing rules they have to follow.
The weather was a bit windy but that happens. Course was and almost always is, in excellent shape.
Pace of play was as expected at a little over 4.5 hours. I never care, I enjoy the views on this course.
Good time, good day
This was my 2nd & my wife's 1st full round on the championship 18. We were paired with a friendly local who helped us a bunch. We'd played the Exec 9 & par 3 some. I'd played the back 9 some. The course required straighter or shaped shots on a number of holes like #2, 4, 7, 9, 10, 11, 14, & 18. #5 is scenic with its cute & downhill tee shot. Wind like we got made some holes like 7 & 9 tough. The greens were in good shape & fast. The inverted cups made a few putts hard to tell if they were holed. The range was open, even if not advertised on their website. The practice putting green was closed. Carts were allowed but not necessary. Place of play was steady, perhaps a bit over pace of play #s, but it was fine. Overall a good day.
The Greens were well above average
The greens had healed nicely from the Spring aeration and we’re putting great. The fairways and tee boxes were in good condition for this time of year.
