About
The Championship 18 Course at Foothills Golf Course is one of three courses at the Foothills facility, but it is the only 18-hole course of the three. Built in 1971, Dick Phelps designed the course. The public course is 6,908 yards at its championship tees. Although the course is relatively flat, there are some hills that cause uneven lies. The course features other difficulties as well. Pretty lakes and creeks create water hazards that come into play on some holes. The greens are bent grass while the fairways are covered in Bermuda grass. There is also a putting green and on-site teaching pro to help golfers with their game.

Worst greens I have ever played
Review says it all. Literally putting on sand and clumps of grass.
Recent aeration, bumpy greens
I like Foothills GC. The course seems to have been hit a bit hard this winter. The greens were recently aerated, and they were heavily top dressed. Still it was a good day. There are some blind spots, so be aware. You could get hit inadvertently. The black tees are not too long for an average bogey player.
Dry as a bone; Minimal amenities
Paid $25 to walk 9. Not worth it. Pace of play was fine with it being a Monday afternoon. Clubhouse being rebuilt with expected completion end of FY23. Recent irrigation issues (busted pipes) has prevented watering of the golf course so it is dry as a bone. Marshall stopped by on hole 8 to let us know and couldn’t have been a kinder man - obviously out of his control but thanked us for coming by anyway. They did post an ‘Aeration Alert’ but made no mention of the lack of water. Recommend you book elsewhere and hold off until plumbing issues have been resolved and they can hydrate the course.
Good times
Fun l, somewhat easy layout. Has its tree trouble if u miss a fairway and it’s enjoyable with buddies, or random golfers. Enjoy!

The course is in ok condition after a long winter.
Building new club house so no real amenities….course was in good condition for this time of year

Great course. I play here often. You can always expect slow play.. I like the challange.
Extremely Unprofessional Employee Named Mike
My tee time was 1:21p. I made a purchase with the beverage cart at hole 3 and was told I had to pick up my card at the pro shop after my round. I went into the pro shop at 5:55p and was told the person in charge of the concessions already left and accidentally didn't check to see if any open tabs were still on the course. Mike (blonde, middle-aged male with glasses), the pro shop attendant, accosted me and nearly became physical. He threated to call the sheriff which I requested that he did. He then refused to do that after I pointed to the camera above his head and warned that he incited the altercation and is on camera doing so. He refused to make a call to the concessions person to obtain the code to the safe where my card was locked away. He instead called me disgusting names and threatened to physically remove me when luckily, another employee entered the pro shop and helped diffuse the situation by calling the manager and getting into the safe and returning my card. I was contacted by their HR department after posting warnings on all of their social media platforms. DO NOT PLAY HERE! I am providing this warning after having played over 50 rounds at this course. I am extremely disappointed and shocked to have been treated in such a manner.
