About
The Championship 18 Course at Foothills Golf Course is one of three courses at the Foothills facility, but it is the only 18-hole course of the three. Built in 1971, Dick Phelps designed the course. The public course is 6,908 yards at its championship tees. Although the course is relatively flat, there are some hills that cause uneven lies. The course features other difficulties as well. Pretty lakes and creeks create water hazards that come into play on some holes. The greens are bent grass while the fairways are covered in Bermuda grass. There is also a putting green and on-site teaching pro to help golfers with their game.

Not Overly Impressed
This is a bargain bin course with a higher than average price tag. The overall layout was not hard at all. Getting to the Par 5's in 2 is quite simple. The starter need to go to the mow crew . He had no personality. 5 minutes before we are teeing off, he is bellowing for us to be on the tee box. What a .......!
Slow
Over 5 1/2 hr. round, waited on every shot. Typical for this course. Course Marshall was nowhere to be found on the course. If you find one on the course the standard answer is the everyone is on time.When we returned the cart he was yapping with the cart guy.
Tuff to find a tee time in this area so take what you can get, but this was no fun.
good city course
as closest to the city it is just as close to the mountains. enjoy playong here condidering they're a fee nicer courses in the surroundning area. staff is great here and theyre redoing the club house so things are looking up
Déjà vu
Apparently the front nine is not open and have to play the back 9 twice. That was not communicated to us and felt a bit hustled.
Also a single was “fit” in between two foursomes and killed the pace of play. Super not cool and had to skip the last two holes because the round had to this point taken over 5 hours.
FHGC
Nice course. A new clubhouse is being built so they are working out of a trailer for now. Will be a pretty special course when they finish new amenities.
