About
The Championship 18 Course at Foothills Golf Course is one of three courses at the Foothills facility, but it is the only 18-hole course of the three. Built in 1971, Dick Phelps designed the course. The public course is 6,908 yards at its championship tees. Although the course is relatively flat, there are some hills that cause uneven lies. The course features other difficulties as well. Pretty lakes and creeks create water hazards that come into play on some holes. The greens are bent grass while the fairways are covered in Bermuda grass. There is also a putting green and on-site teaching pro to help golfers with their game.

Autumn plains golf...
Navigate the dogleg rights and fight through the dogleg lefts, Foothills offers a nice blend of these slight curves to fairways. Basic tee-boxes kick off each hole. Not a lot of water comes into play. A few fairway sand bunkers are in play but the sand is low depth and firm so it's more like hitting off of hard-pan.

He an amazing time playing this time of the year. Course is in great condition. Pace of play was great.

That was a nice Golf Day! Playing 42 degrees was very nice on a perfect course.

Interesting golf course in very good condition especially for this time of year. It is becoming one of my favorite places to play around Denver.

Foothills is a very nice course and is in fabulous condition for this time of year. I highly recommend.
Great course for fun
The course was in excellent condition, greens were fast, pace of play was very good and the Marshall was really on the job keeping everyone moving. The course is not reallt difficult but it has a few holes that are interesting and keep you on your toes. You can get into trouble if you miss some key shots.

Championship Course in Great Shape
It’s been a couple years since I’ve played the Foothills Championship Course and was very impressed. The fairways, fringe and putting greens were in awesome condition. I have plans to play there again next week.
