Great course
The course was a great course. Plays a little long on some holes. They need to add water refill stations or something because there is no water at all beside at the club house and that’s miles away when your out playing. Greens were very firm/Hard nothing could stick and would always run off. Putting was on point though. All the greens are set up with lots of slopes and hills which makes for bad pin placements that makes the round not as enjoyable for people that just want to play a fun round of golf. Other then that it’s a fun course to play at least once. Not rushing out to play again there though. 10 handicap shot a 90 from the blues. Greens don’t hold approach shots.
Fantastic Experience
This course is beautiful and challenging, but fair. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. The practice facility is top notch with a driving range, short game area with chipping green and bunkers, and a generous putting green. The fairways are inviting, but Watch your landing area on the greens. I'll be back!
New course will improve over time
I actually enjoyed the course even though I played it in a two club wind. Currently not really challenging but hopefully course will plant more trees so that if you go off line into the rough there is some challenge to getting to the green. Course irrigation was brilliant and the fairways were dry and had run on them. Greens were slow but true.
Best greens in florida
Greens are insanely fast. Love the difficult pin locations. Top notch course
Love the course
I really enjoy the course, I didn’t give 5 stars because the greens had top dressing and were not really cut down. They were rolling quite slower from the previous week.
Nice and new with fast greens.
Played here because PGA courses were unavailable due to an event. Nice course and would play again. Entire staff was pleasant and helpful.
Astor Creek
Fairways and greens superb . Wide open new course. Enjoyed the experience.
Absolute Must Play
I played this course yesterday for the second time. I’m a 6 handicap and shot an 82 the first round and a 77 yesterday. Very wide fairways with not a lot of trouble. The battle starts when you reach the greens. Depending on pin position 3 putts are frequent. Also the holes are spread out so you will never hear or see someone behind or in front hitting or driving up on you. One guy in our group brought his girlfriend along just to walk the course she said she walked the equivalent of 5 miles .
Excellent new course
Great course. Fast tricky greens. My only suggestion is to have a tee box between the forward (Astor) and the white
Astor Creek 2024
For a new course Astor Creek was pretty good. The conditions were very good and the greens were fast
The terrain is very flat and open so there is no shelter from the wind or rain.
The staff were very friendly - but they need a ranger to move slow players along. We finished on 4.25 hours - but there was at least 2 holes open in front of the group in front of us.
I don't think it's worth the $139 price on their website. It's a $70 to $80 course at most.
Overall I would give it 4 stars
Beautiful Course
Definitely a hidden gem! Greens were amazing, as was the entire course. Plan on a lot of wind, since it’s out in the open. Not many houses to be concerned about as of yet, so the course is pretty wide open. Can’t wait to go back and play it again.
Astor creek
Absolutely a great day playing this new gem from the excellent staff to course conditions pace of play was sensational..course well kept for just opening can't wait to play it again
Awesome New Course
This is a great new links course with a super friendly staff. We’re from Indiana and visiting family, and my 12 year old said it was his favorite course he’s ever played. The greens are fast but true. The practice area is amazing. Make sure to get their plenty early so that you can take full advantage of the awesome short game area where you can practice chips, bunker shots, etc. We were planning to play a different course later in the week, but now my son is begging to play Astor Creek again!
Naples-style community golf comes East
Bundled communities – membership attached to home ownership – is mostly a Gulf Coast thing in Florida. Astor Creek introduces the concept to the area with a solid residential golf course. As usual, the routing is somewhat disjointed, as dictated by the developer. But hole corridors are fairly generous, and within them, architect Chris Wilczynski laid out 18 very good holes.
The design riffs at times on the work of C.B. Macdonald and Seth Raynor, with some of their “template” concepts remixed slightly, to enjoyable effect. Conditions are reliably excellent and the clubhouse is particularly nice, as is the practice facility. Open to the public until homes and memberships sell through, Astor Creek is a nice addition to Treasure Coast golf.
