Immaculate course
The course is in great shape- probably the best tee-fairway- green- all gorgeous and can’t wait to see the community there are building around it
Loved the layout. Course was in excellent condition. There was a scramble ahead of us which severely hurt the pace of play
Total exsposure
No protection from wind so if you don’t hit it straight you better have a bunch of golf balls only negative which might be unfair is the yardages shown on score card for the tees you pick don’t match up on some holes played the #4 tees which show a little under 5300 yds and 3 tees over 6000. Played hole 1 twice and both times yardage was over 400 yds and 1 of par 5’s was over 500 yds and card said 430 might have been a couple more like that too as a over 70 player stick to IV tees unless you like shooting way over your hdcp.
Course is in great shape
Pace was ok. Very nice course, would have given 5 star but theres no amenities, its a trailer. But well on its way to being awesome
Great golf course!
Immaculate greens, fun layout! Greens roll true and are fast! Once they finish building the clubhouse, it will be amazing! Trailer for check in is fine with two nice bathrooms. Grab something to eat before you get to the golf course as they don’t have a restaurant yet but we were very impressed with the course layout and condition of the golf course!
Nice course - awful staff
The course itself is in good condition and is a really nice layout. The positive ends there. The staff is not only unfriendly. They go out of their way. I have come 3 times and had issues from no carts, not accepting their own discounts, changing t times, lack of any infrastructure at all. I’m not coming back.
Pace of play
Played multiple times and love the course. Getting busier and they need to jump on pace of play. Disappointed to now be a 4:45 round. Doesn’t have to be.
$160 After Tax is Criminal
I have played here probably 2 dozen times and love the golf course. That being said they should be ashamed of themselves currently. Your bathrooms are porta potty's. You have no restaurant. Your GPS wasn't even set to the right pin placements making it useless. Your charging premium price for a middle of the road experience. Shame on you for price gauging just because you can.
Greedy course
We paid $79 at the end of December and the price literally doubled on Jan 1……and with All of the ongoing construction, we will be going to a different golf course due to the hefty price tag.
Rude and demeaning staff
From the kid taking out our golf clubs and leaving the trunk open, to the cart that was absolutely filthy, including left over food, and a non-functioning GPS, to the staff loading our ball bags, letting one clang and drop in his view and driving away, this course is excellent and in great condition, but the staff leaves a lot to be desired, to say the least. The after round conversation with the "manager" or one of the two clueless 20-year olds behind the counter took a turn for the worse, before a wise decision was made to move on and let calmer heads prevail. Literally, day and night between the course itself and a rude, demeaning staff. Signage is terrible, as evident by at least 2 foursomes, including ours, who got sidetracked at least once during the round. Lot of wrinkles to iron out, starting with a LOT of staff training if this is going to be a good course to play - note to management you have to hire from outside the area, to get good staff.
Great course!!!
Calusa Golf Course is a great place to play. The course is wide open, very well maintained, with excellent greens and fairways. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Definitely a course worth coming back to.
Nice new addition to my rotation!
Discovered this on my yearly trip to Bradenton and was not disappointed.
Yes there is a bit of distraction with construction around also making it a bit more difficult to navigate your way from a green to the next tee box, but hey, most people should be able to figure it out.
No trees to lose your ball in but the course has teeth with large undulating greens and lots of water hazards to keep you thinking.
Calusa Country club = “add to cart”!!
