A very nice round
We played as a twosome and joined another group and pace was good. Hot out there but course was fun. Greens could have been cut for more roll. We had fun
Good value
Woodland is nice. My only gripe I've ever had there is the rangers need to do more to address pace of play and unaccompanied minors who act the fool. I have been behind foursomes there a few times that take 3 hours per side because they are basically playing croquet and take more practice swings than Sergio Garcia to just duff it 12 yards sideways with no consideration for other golfers. I have also had multiple run ins with groups of teenagers who have far less patience for that and will hit into you and not care if they hit people including younger kids.
Solid, good value
Fantastic course for the money. Play a little slow and had a group of teenagers hitting into us and could use a little more supervision, but greens are immaculate especially considering recent aeration. They rolled very well even with plugs pulled. Some improvements to tee boxes and some cleared trees since my last visit.
Great Course for the money!
I’ve been going to this course for years now! Absolutely love this course! Definitely a go to course!
Why even have a Marshal?
We started off at first tee and from that pint forward we were waiting every hole for the group ahead of us. The group ahead of us was a foursome and we were a threesome. The marshal went passed them twice but pace of play never speed up. Not one water jug on the course. There were two water fountain one on the front nine and one on the back. Course upkeep was low. Several fairways were patchy and tee boxes were subpar.
Hidden Gem..Nice course...worth every penny
Value for money spent is wonderful. Fairways and greens well maintained. Have played here twice and pace of play has been <4hrs both times. Carts need updating or just a good maintenance. Interesting and fun layout...LOTS of elevated tee boxes and greens so it helps to like playing hilly terrain.
Good course for the money.
The course is fun, lots of hills and plenty of wooded areas. Somewhat challenging but still wound up with 2 par holes. Greens were a bit slow and rough, but for the money, a fun course for beginner or intermediate players.
Extremely slow play
My wife and I had travel plans in the area and decided to snag an early afternoon tee time. Starter had an extremely slow foursome tee off just ahead of us. Some had to hit three and four times just to get a ball in play. It didn't get any better. After six holes the Marshall came by, saw us waiting while they were teeing off. He apologized, said he would try to do something at the turn. Never saw him again. I guess some guys ego can't take allowing a twosome including a woman to play through. I hate 5+++ hour rounds.
Great Course!
Course is a hidden gem. Lots of changing elevation. Greens were in great shape even with them being punched (hardly could notice). Some spots around the greens were dried out with no grass, but only occasionally. Definitely coming back.
Beauty
Fun course, challenging holes, friendly staff and players, and cheap drinks. Definitely recommend especially if you have a 4 stack to play with.
Could be nice!
This is a good track. But… fairways are hard and spotty with some sand and bald spots. Greens are hard and very slow. Area around greens is well tended. Overall and nice and challenging course that could be very nice if it had a bit more attention.
Hackers
Checked in 20 minutes early. Hit a few range ball. Went the first Tee at appropriate time. Two groups waiting to Tee off but they had NO Tee time! Worked that out uncomfortably. Lots of blind Tee shots. Greens were punched but no mention. Stopped at the clubhouse on the turn for a beverage. Double bourbon and ginger. The gal has been there forever and served me a very watered down drink. Order a beer if you want a drink. No Marshall’s at all and maintenance guys are Hispanic and don’t turn weedeaters or mowers down to idle while you are putting, chipping, or driving the “dirt way”. Never again.
