Not looking good
I have played at Woodland Hills for many years. At one point I even held a membership here. The course is well maintained but the staff and scheduling is and has been a huge issue. This course used to not be as busy. Now they stack way to many people at too short of intervals. Instead of teeing in 10 minute increments like most courses they do 5 minutes. That coupled with the newfound popularity of this course and it’s overall layout slows (teeboxes behind greens) the pace so much that it now makes it virtually unplayable. The pace of play is painfully slow and you are constantly hitting up onto the group ahead of you. Then at some point the course marshal will tell you that you are off pace by some arbitrary number of minutes. Well no kidding you stacked a twosome behind a foursome and then won’t allow the twosome play through. I would not recommend this course and will certainly not be returning back which is sad to say because it really used to be great.
Lost their greens
Great little golf course and the greens were sweet back in February. It became one of our favorites til spring and summer. They keep punching holes in the greens and while the watering keeps them from getting burnt, the weeds have taken over…….they are horrendous! It would be beneficial if the guy hand watering the greens went in the opposite direction of the golfers. Seemed like every green, the guy was up there with the hose………I’d say at least 7+ times. Such a bummer as the greens were so good back in February. Still a great course for the price point! Practice areas and the range are great, but you have to have a tee time or be a member to utilize them.
Great deal!
For the money you won’t find a better course in metro Atlanta. Great layout, challenging but accessible. Beautiful scenery and welcoming staff. My son and I tried to play a few weeks ago and got rained out on the 6th hole and got a rain check for a full 18. High-class operation.
Good condition. SLOW pace
No excuse for a 5 hour round. 2s and 3s taking forever. We were paired with another 2 and played fast when possible.
It isn’t a country club but I still expect some semblance of golf etiquette. I have teenage boys that play a few times each year. If you bring them to a course you should teach them how to act. Pretty ridiculous behavior.
The course was in pretty good shape. The greens were recently punched but not too bad.
First time, good time
Enjoyed playing this course as a high handicapper. Able to hit poorly without excessive damage to my score given roomy fairways, short yardage holes, and slow greens. Back nine more challenging than front nine. This may be my new go-to course. It helped to play as a twosome on a Friday without anyone in front of us or behind us.
Ok course. Bad pairing and slow pace
Course was ok. Lots of elevation. Greens were like putting on a wet door mat. Anything off the fairway and your ball was gone for good in some holes or you were hitting off dirt and rocks. The Marshal although very nice would not let me play by myself but instead pairs me with two elderly ladies which didn’t bother me except that the pace of play was so slow it took 5 hours to play 18 when i could have easily played ahead of them and been done in 3.5 hours. Marshall has got to do better. Just because the random person didn’t show up for the group in front of my doesn’t mean you pair me with them. Do better.
Tough Track
Man what a tough course it challenged me every hole. Great greens and great fairways. I'll be back 😄. Good staff
Excellent course in great condition. Slow play in spots.
Excellent course in great condition. Slow play in spots. But overall a great value. Staff are super nice.
Woodland Hills
We have played this course several times and I can say this year things seem like they are improving on the course. Clubhouse is still outdated but the course is what matters and they have put some time into it.
