Perfect weather perfect course
Course is in great shape and weather couldn't be better. If you haven't played here you should give it a try. Love the on cart gps
This course is a must play
Outstanding course, its a must play always in great condition.
It's turned into a course that allows employees to not do there jobs. Beverage cart was OK. Cart kid was non existent, rangers should turn their paychecks back to the course. To allow groups play at a pace that holds up the play behind them is an embarrassment. Two holes ahead of the slow group was the closest they got. It was a full course, pace was slow and rangers patrolled the edges of the course as good as any ranger. It's a great course, but to allow groups to play at the pace they want instead of what the course is asking, is very discouraging...
Good shape
Overall in nice shape . Good course for the money.
RedTail's a New Favorite
Tee time: 10:56 on a Sunday ($30).
First time playing RedTail and I am already looking forward to playing here again. The meandering hills amongst the countryside make for a great mixture of elevated tee boxes and blind shots. I enjoyed all of the hazards that came into play between the protected wetlands, water, and sand traps. A few of the sand traps were rock hard, but the majority were very playable. The fairways and greens were in good shape. We finished 18 in under 4 hours. Bonus points for the GPS carts, driving range, and cart girl who was available every 45 minutes. In terms of value, I couldn't have asked for anything better!
Overpriced
This course is not a good value for the price you pay. I'd never play it unless the price was heavily discounted. The "Clubhouse" is lacking in every respect, there were no rangers controlling the pace of play even though the carts showed someone was holding everyone else up, the bunkers were large but did not have enough sand, the water hazards were not well kept, and the difference in height between greens and fringe was not proper. The fairways were properly mowed and the overall condition of the grass was above average.
Great Course - Fast Play
Great course, greens were in fantastic shape. Challenging holes with friendly staff. They really take care of this course. Starters are excellent, and saw plenty of rangers keeping the play moving forward.
Great experience
the overall experience of the course was exceptional. The staff was very polite and professional, and the course was very well taken care of.
Red Tail
Very friendly staff, overall good experience with my wife
Nice round of golf
The course is in really good shape with the exception of the sand traps. I use the word sand but don't expect anything that looks like sand. Besides that the course is ready to play. We had a two-some and had the course to ourselves starting at 6:50 AM. And you can't beat the price through Golfnow. Well worth the money.
Course was in good shape.
I enjoyed my round. I thought the course was in good shape, especially the greens. Greens in spring time can be a little spotty, but the greens were in good shape, leading to some decent putting on my part.
The golf course are good view.
our golfers were happy to see the balls where we hit on fairways and 2 other sides and the grass were short so we can see where the balls find easy. We will be playing golf again sometime later.
A quiet place in the wetlands for great golf.
The weather was excellent; the staff both friendly and accommodating. The course is nestled among the houses and natural wetlands in a quiet corner of the suburbs. The greens and tees are in very good shape and the fairways show the signs of use typical of this time of year, but still in good shape. The course is spread out with some holes separated by a quarter mile trail from green to the next tee. Like most courses you play, Red Tail has several holes that really challenge me every time I play here. The strengths of this course are its mix of 3, 4 and 5 par holes, its great viewscapes from the tees and the deceptively challenging layouts that use the natural features to add to your experience. With its rolling hills, many ponds and its natural wetlands, Red Tail capitalizes on these features to complement numerous, well placed sand bunkers. Makes for great golf every time I play here.
Good course
Course was overall nice. Only problem i had was we had a party of 4 and on other courses we play around 4-4 1/2 hours and no one has said anything to us ever. We play with the same four people everytime with the same pace. On this course we were being rushed and pushed to keep up pace when others were parties or 2 or 3. Most likely will not return but it is a beautiful course thank you.
2014 RedTail
Played there this week. Course looked real good, even though there had been a ton of rain in the past few days. Greens were in very good shape. Rough was wet/tough.
Green is so slow.
You should improve green. Because Green is so slow.
Pace of play
Nice course, generous fairways, 2 inch ruff...very playable, Poor bunkers-consist of hard pan and pebbles...get some sand! Greens in great shape not slow but your not putting on a pool table ether, good speed for the avg. golfer.
Great golf.
Great staff. Awesum course. A great challenge . Thank you Red tail
Nice Course...
Without much rain lately, there were spots the course was too wet. But overall, a good experience. I have played RedTail before, and it always plays fair. A good time, and a great price!
Only one coarse issue
Bunkers are beyond bad. Large stones and very little sand. Being in a bunker is bad enough. Having very little sand is even worse. Try to hit a sand shot and the club hits clay 1/2 inch below surface, club skids, you either end up blasting it across the green or you don't get out at all.
