Disappointed
Every year it is always the same problem. Mid to late summer they can’t keep the rough cut. The rough is US Open deep. Not sure why. They have worked on greens and Traps but the rough is the problem and they keep shrinking the size of the greens. They do have nice new carts. I recommend the course but maybe wait to the end of Sept. Maybe they cue will cut the rough.
Great golf for a reasonable price
I live in the area but as we are in the process of moving to TN, I have allowed my country club membership to lapse. This course, condition wise is as well maintained as my former private course. And a $60 a round for a weekday game, actually less due to a senior discount, it was very reasonable. They have on-line Tee times which makes reservations easy and quick.
Make Sure You Play This Course
What a hidden Gem this course is!! Tee Boxes, Faiways and greens are Absolutely Fantastic!!
Beautifully scenic
Beautiful Ga scenery amongst the pines. Wide fairways lead to narrow greens. Challenging tee boxes distances and layout. My only complaint were the gnats....lol!!! Off didnt work for me. Friendly fellow golfers and staff. Thanks for a great experience. I will be back
Immaculate
I have played a wide range of different courses across the country. At different price points. For the money this is one of the best golf experiences I’ve come across. The course literally could not be in better shape. Greens are a tad slow if I wanted to nitpick something. If you are in the area or passing through as I was, you absolutely need to check out this place.
Great course if you’re out there.
The course is out of the way and rough signage to find it. The map will take you to the resort hotel - but the course is a separate location.
Course is great, staff is solid, range could use some love. But outside that - recommend.
Eightsome
Everything was fine until our 3 some caught up to 8 guys playing in front of us. After about 2 holes we reached a par 3 and they let us play through. This was on a Friday morning. The course was nice and the staff did tell us that there was a fivesome that we may run into but I guess that 3 others joined them somewhere on the course.
Amazing greens
Last year at this time were spotty. Now they are green and plush.
However they are reducing size of greens. Short term okay but they really need to cut them original size.
Nice course for a reasonable price
If you are a "pro" then you may not consider this a nice course but for the average weekend golfer it sets up really good. It's just the right amount of difficult but still not overwhelmingly tough. When we arrived we were told the course was very busy and expect the pace of play to be slow but that didn't prove out to be correct. We didn't have to wait to tee off on any of the 18 holes and even though there were others playing we were never right up on anyone and no one was right up on us. We had a great afternoon here.
Greens were awesome
Have played this course dozens of times and this is the best condition the greeens have ever been in (for this time of the year), Kudos to the maintenance staff.
Fairway?
Fairways were more like rough. Cool views but you’re in the middle of nowhere, hard to find the course. I liked the privacy though. Would only play this again if the fairways were better
