Nice course. Bermuda greens were in good shape. Not too difficult but still challenging.

A lot of work had went into up keeping the course. Greens are in great condition. It's a fun course to play and from the back tees some holes are a great challenge Will need to hit the driver straight on a lot of holes. A good course worth the money. Play it and u will see

Wide fairways, Large greens. Several hills to add to the challenge.

Ladies tee are combined with the Men's white tees on some holes.....sorta strange.

The Club at Shoal Creek was formerly known as Griffin Country Club. It re-opened sometime in the last year with the new name & under new ownership. One of the first things the new owner did was replace the greens and it shows. For the most part, they are really in great shape. The course overall was in good shape, especially for the price. We paid $20+ tax and it is certainly the best course in this area I've played for that price. Looking forward to playing here more often as it is only about 20 minutes from my house.

Mildly surprised at the condition of the course for the price .Course was in pretty good shape.Greens were fairly fast and in good shape.

Everything about this course is excellent. Greens, fairways, tee box all in excellent shape. This course is worth the drive down to Griffin.
Now the gps to find it is another story. You going to have to call club house to get direction.

Course good be nice but staff must work on customer service...I had invited a friend to play this course but staff was so rude.....I really wanted others to like it from my first experience but we both left angry...

I was impressed with the conditions of the green. Kudos to the staff as well as the golfers that helped maintain it.

The course is a great little track. You have some blind shots that course knowledge is good to have but other than that course is in very good condition. We enjoyed the competition and experience.

Th course has great layout and very fast greens...lot of trees that come in play in a few holes but, i like the course.

Played the course a couple of times in the past few weeks.Tee boxes and fairways a bit thin and dry but fairways still nice.Bunkers in fairways and greenside very nice.Greens I think are new and in very ,very good condition.They are that new kind of green that doesn't leave much of a ball mark when you hit them and look very nice and are very challenging to putt.

Today was the 3rd time I played this course.

I knew that the Senior group from the Links now play there and that most of them have never heard or SAID the words " PLAY THROUGH ". so I started on #5 in front of them.

At check in I was invited to play in the Senior Tourney that started in 90 min or so and declined ( last Tuesday of every month ).

What I wasn't told was that they would Shotgun Start at 10 am the entire course.

I got to play part of 10 holes, last two taking 30 minutes to play as a single.Expressed my concern when I quit, first offered a Raincheck, thought that was fair.

THEN the owner (? white haired guy ) said he would "give" me $3 off the next round and a bucket of balls REALLY ?

He actually thought it was funny that they shot gunned a Tournament around others on the course paying full price !

To be fair, my other 2 visits have been fine, but today was God AWFUL !

Call the course before you book ANYTHING !

Griffin was a long way for us to drive but Shoal Creek was certainly worth it. The course was in great shape and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Pace of play was excellent. Word of mouth will quickly spread about this great course, so play it now before it gets too crowded.

Not sure what was worse the course or the people playing it. Between the extremely slow five-somes & six-somes that are not playing ready golf and driving their carts almost up onto the greens, it was brutal. Never again

This was a wonderful course to play....excellent greens and well plan course...really enjoyed myself only problem twilight hours is shorten cause carts must be turned ib at 7:30pm so if u come at at 5-6 pm you wont be able to play entire course. I had to do twilight twice to play entire course

Fairways and tees are in good shape. Crabgrass and some weeds throughout the course. Greens are excellent since the switchover from bent to champions Bermuda. Was 3rd out but as a single, got around the 1st two foursomes, and was able to finish in less than three and a half hours. Ran into maintenance as they were watering greens. Had to wait on sprinklers to quit on two and three. Watch out for a couple of goofy holes with 16 and 17. Other than that, not a bad course.

Have generally enjoyed this course and considering all that the course has going on it was in pretty fair condition.

the course was in good condition, but bunkers are very inconsistent.
