Love.. love this course
It appears the new management is not very flexible ... rain.. no rain check... 5 min late.. pay extra over online rate! I still love the course! Hope I don’t have to find another favorite???
Green Garden - Course in good shape for Aprol
The greens were in great shape and I enjoyed a 70 degree day, which was perfect for April as I caught one of our very few good weather days. I had no complaints regarding the course conditions in April.
Course with racist history unadressed
The course has a notorious past for known racist behavior and it was my understanding that the course was closed some time ago due to various reasons. Seems like the issues with racism have not been addressed. While playing our round in under 4 hours we were attacked verbally by a fellow golfer who was wearing knickers. He felt that we were playing too slow for him and used all kinds of racial slurs while talking to us.I will probably not play here again until this course proves to be more friendly to minority golfers.
Great course
This is my favorite course... everyone is so nice. Pace of play great!
Solid for the money
Course is well maintained but some traps need work. Hole positions are difficult, making the course a bit harder than it might appear. Green fees are priced right, always under $50, but range is a bit pricey. It seems like the other golfers on the course are always friendly and I feel like the ettiqutte here amongst players is the best of any course. My biggest criticism is the course is understaffed. My biggest endorsement is that it's the best value on the southside.
Course is in good shape
I enjoyed playing there , fairways and greens are in good playing condition
Course is improving but....
The course is improving over prior years, however, there is still a bit too much weed growth to call the course beautiful. Simple fertilizer with weed killer would really help. Dead ash trees have been removed so the course looks much, much better than last year. Fairways are in pretty good shape, as are the greens. The course (gold or blue) plays well and fellow golfers are always friendly. Snack shops around the turns are now open (hurray!) and there has been a snack cart out each time we have been there. This is helpful and always worthy of a good tip. We were scheduled for the Blue course, but 5 foursomes of high school boys walking were ahead of us. (Agh!) As we approached the tee area, their coach asked us why we were there and told us we would be very slow. Quite odd. We returned to the starter, who allowed us to move to the Gold course where we had a good pace of play. The course is hooked into YamaTrack, but be sure your iphone is fully charged as the carts do not have chargers.
Green garden
For the amount of money $48 we could have played a much better course. The dollar amount for this course is too much.
Over priced
You'll spend as much here, if not more than you would at other courses in the area. Definitely not worth the price. Course is short and relatively easy. Not taken care of whatsoever. I played in late February in high 60s temperature and the player in front of me didn't bother to putt on any hole because of how poor the greens were. I give it a 2/10.
Perfect Day for Golf in February
Course was in great condition considering it is February. Nice layout. Course was crowded but still was done in under 5 hours. Will be back.
Great value for $30.00
Course was in decent shape but I think they cut the fairways too thin. For a majority of the holes you are almost hitting off dirt eventhough your ball is in the fairway. The pace of play is very slow even on the weekday due to all the twosomes allowed to go out.
Great personnel
Very nice clubhouse personnel and starter. Course in prett good shape considering how much rain we had a couple days earlier.
The course was in great shape
The course was in great shape and for the price you can't beat it we played the blue course and for a average golfer it was great not too easy not too hard I recommend this to everyone
great pace for Sunday
great shape greens a little bumby but otherwise excellent
Good value.
Blue course was ok, but turf was a little dry, and the greens were very bumpy. Could be some sort of disease.
great time
course was in good condition. Rate of play was slow rangers should have paired foursomes.
Blue's Not Bad
I got a rock bottom price from Golf Now for an early afternoon week day round. We had the place to ourselves. Decent layout for a shorter course with a couple longer par 3's and 4's. Half of the greens were in excellent shape, the rest were fairly worn. They were also pretty slow & could use a mow. The cart paths need a lot of attention.
Dear Sir:
I would first like to apologize for the unfortunate incident which occurred while you were playing at our golf course. We certainly do not condone such behavior and welcome all golfers to our facility. If you would contact me by phone I would like to discuss this further and extend an invitation to come play our golf course again. I can be reached at 815-469-3350.
