Some progress made
Most of the greens are in far better shape then they’ve been in the past. New signs at each hole with yardage and layout are nice. Carts are probably close to their last rounds. The worst part of the round was spending 6hrs to get through it. Having to wait 10 - 15 mins at each hole makes for a long, irritating day at the course. A Marshall was out and stated “there’s no where to speed people up”. However, when you get to hole 15 & find hole 17 completely clear and a foursome not in any hurry to make their way to the 16th green, you know this isn’t accurate. Course improvements alone will not guarantee anyone will put up with that frustration.
Challenging Course and Budget Friendly. One Complaint.
My only complaint about this course is the GOLF CARTS. I've played here several times and the carts are in bad shape. First time playing the parking break didn't work. Second time playing the transmission was slipping up hills. Finally the third time playing this year, the whole center piece fell out of the steering wheel! Outside of the cart struggles, it's a fun course and not too expensive to play.
Great Greens - Fair holes - not for walkers
Played when course was still soaked after rains. Greens top notch. Fairways winter thin. Teeboxes need work Feb 2023.
Layout is a good mix of challenging and easier holes. A few target golf tee shots required from white.
Walking would be tough. Several holes 200-400 yards from green to tee box. I regretted my attempt at walking.
Staff is friendly. Grill Bar after was a nice way to end the day.
Packed out course/ rude Marshall.
We went this past Saturday 1/28. We had a tee time of 10:50 but was pushed back due to a frost delay. When were finally able to tee off we were paired with another twosome. The course was super packed this day and there many foursomes. The pace of play was about what you would expect for a busy day with so many people. The biggest complaint I have is that the Marshall was extremely rude when talking to us about our pace of play, to which I had explained this was my wife’s second time playing. I still like playing this course but they should have better scheduling to elevate the pace so that new players don’t feel unwelcome.
Love the course.. but today was frustrating
All was fine despite tee times delayed due to frost until Marshal came up to our foursome twice asking to pick up pace of play when we were keeping up perfectly fine with other teams playing. Felt judged for pace of play because I was the only female playing the course and ended up skipping holes just so Marshal would stop messing with us and I was playing fast and well.
Will be back!
It was my first time ever playing a full 18-hole course and I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience! My husband and I will be back soon!
Challenging but fun course
This was I and my wife’s first time playing this course. We had a great time with only two complaints. We really wish there would have been some type of beverage cart and the ace of play was pretty bad with so many big groups.
Great Value
Tricky course that you have to manage carefully. Lots of tricky shots that require good layups. New bunkers this year are amazing. Greens need work. Great value!
Meh
This course was very meh. That first few holes require you to place your shots strategically (no power shots). There are maybe 5-6 holes on the whole course that allow you to “grip it and rip it”. Lots of low hanging limbs to prevent you from hitting a good shot.
Course isn’t taken care of very well, the cart girl didn’t show up til hole 14. Had 2 old guys in front of me who would spend 5-10 mins looking for their balls but there wasn’t a course marshal to keep pace of play. Definitely isn’t worth the
Very enjoyable course
This was my first time playing and I had a great time the course was very well maintained and really fun.
Disappointing, course gone downhill
I used to really like this course. I have not played this course in about a year but this time it was very disappointing. The greens were in horrendous shape. Much of it could be the fault of the play as many of the issues are ball marks either not repaired or the players do not know how to fix their ball marks, or just don’t do it. Still the greens look diseased, very black! Need to do lot of work around where the course and the cart paths are….so many areas that are washed out. The cart paths are in very rough shape. Finally, the rough that you have to get over on the holes that have it, like 11, 16, and 4 just to name a couple has grown out maybe too much now. It needs to be trimmed back some….at the very least to be able see your ball some. Please at least address the greens first!! Really needs to be addressed!
