Difficult course, excellent greens
Played Creekside for the first time in several years. Saturday morning, and they actually had a tournament going on that same time, and the pace was still 4.5 hours (we were a two-some that joined another two-some). The layout is fun, and the greens were almost perfect. Best shape I've ever seen them in, and they were consistent across the entire 18. The fairways could use some work in some areas, but thats most golf courses. Some of the tee boxes were a little sandy, but that is easily overlooked by myself, especially when the greens were so nice. The course is hard, with some narrow fairways, long carries (over water and foliage), not to mention most greens sit atop little hills (don't miss, or roll off). I will defenitely be going back soon.
Challenging
This is a very nice course but narrow. Placement type course. Fun but challenging. Bring a lot of golf balls.
Saturday round
Pace of play was beyond slow and they had no marshals on the course keeping things moving. Over 5 hours to play 18 is way too slow.
Nice course and challenging on many holes
Staff is great and nice layout. Good challenge for all golfer levels. Would play again. Very tricky greens. Give it a try.
Need to invest into the staff and course
Only thing decent about this course are the greens. Fairways are terrible, tee boxes are not taken care of.
Also the beer barn double charged my card for no reason- get WiFi in there and train your staff.
Save Your Money
No ranger or marshal so pace of play isn’t regulated
When you tell someone at the clubhouse about it, they get annoyed.
I moved out here 2 years ago and wanted this to be my home course.
I’ll drive an extra 30 minutes to play at a REAL golf course
Very bad shape
Terrible condition. From tee to green. That was my first and last time playing this goat ranch.
Overcrowded
I played on a Saturday afternoon. Almost every hole was backed up anywhere from 2 to 4 groups behind. It was so bad. We skipped the last two holes. I won’t ever play again at Creekside on the weekend.
It’s Mostly Just OK
The staff is very nice. The course layout is fantastic. The drives between holes through woods and wetlands are great, as it creates an enjoyable immersive experience with the environment. This course has the potential to be outstanding… The neglect of it is deeply disappointing though. Painfully so. You hate to see a potential gem for the public being ran into the ground.
The tee boxes were completely sanded over in many holes that tee shots felt like flat bunker shots. The fairways and outer edges are in bad shape. The grass and grounds are not taken care of very well. There’s so much litter everywhere from beer cans, food packaging, and just debris in general.
The course is tolerable for the money, but nothing to look forward about. Im glad I went, as it was a great day, but I will not return. I really hope that the management gets it together. Would be terrible to see another public course turn private or worse, shut down completely.
