Poor Greens
The greens were particularly poor. I believe they recently had the greens aerated as a result, some holes were adjusted/moved etc... As a result the distances were off.
Beyond that the course overall could use some TLC.
This course was in horrible condition.
The course greens are under repair in many instances and the alternate "greens" were not very well done either while this work was going on. As for the greens that didn't have alternate greens, they were burned out, uneven and riddled with aeration holes and plugs. This was absolutely the worst experience I have had at this course or any course ever in terms of course conditions. I will not return to this course any time soon.

Unplayable Course
At this time, the greens are unplayable. Certain temporary greens are just awful. I hope they get it together but at this time, you can not play it.

They need to shut this place down
I used to play this course quite a lot but now I couldn't recommend this course to anyone! We were told before the round that 4 of the greens had been damaged. Also, that they had placed the pins in the fairways and cut the grass short to make a "temporary green" at these four holes. That is what it is, they gave us a discounted rate whatever. We started playing and every green on that course is gone and in absolute terrible condition, we played 3 holes and left. They need to close this course down, spend some money on the greens and the property in general, hire a good superintendent, and re open it. I won't be back. Cheers!

Terrible green condition
Greens are awful, almost unputtable. The 6 temporary greens made in the fairway rolled better than the actual greens. Bunkers are terrible, full of mud and rocks. City of McDonough needs to hire a professional greens keeper; not just the Lawnmower man.

Needs some love
8 alternate greens in the fairways which even from the tips was like playing a par 3 course the bunkers haven’t been touched in a decade. So many huge trees around the tee boxes making very tough tee shots it’s just frustrating the tiny window their lack of attention creates. The greens that weren’t alternatives were completely dead. Putting is pointless. Cool layout if it was actually taken care of

Awful greens
They should just close the course until it’s back right. A year ago today the course was fine. Definitely not the same. You move the hole on the fairway. Please make it make sense.

Misunderstanding when made reservation
I made this tee time a week prior, didn't notice any warning on the web site. However, invoice said 4 greens were under maintenance. When I arrived was informed the course had serious issues, just punched the greens, and a third of the greens (six holes) were bad enough to be replaced with temporary ones. I thanked the pro shop for being honest and chose to go elsewhere. So, I was only out the $5 fee from Golf Now. The pro shop said they had candidly reported this issue to Golf Now but others reserved through Golf Now site had no idea how bad it was. Buyer beware...

Not Good
Fairways ok. Greens terrible. They had just aeorated but could see dirt where grass was suppose to be on some greens and they all were too bumpy to play. A complete waste of money.

These were the worst greens I have played on in YEARS.
I know they were recently aerated, but they are pitiful.

This course is in bad shape.
This course is at best a practice course. They have lost the greens, the sand traps and bunkers do not have any sand; they are now waste bunkers. The fairways are okay. Henry County should sell the course to company that knows how to manage a golf course.

Still a nice course but needs some TLC
This could be one of the top five courses on the south side, but over the years it has become a little outdated. That could be contributed to the fact that ownership has changed a few times. All in all it is still a tough Fair course that is fun to play.
Water is a factor of most of the holes, and you can really shoot a low score if you're able to keep it in the fairway. Top-notch driving range, and the facilities are pretty well-kept. Definitely worth another trip back.

Course shouldn't be open. Horrible condition.
I have played this course many before. Usually a good practice course with decent greens. Not sure what happened since the fall. This is the worst course I have ever tried to play. It was unplayable so I walked off after the 3rd hole. Tee box -F, fairways-F, greens-F, bunkers- F.
This course obviously has Covid. Horrible and stressful experience.

1. Aerate and oversand the fairways and greens.
2. Fill the bunkers with sand.
3. Repair the broken cart paths.
The layout is great, but the course has fallen into disrepair.

Fairway decent. Just tight. Better directional signage needed. Also greens really need a lot of work. Affects ball tremendously

Tight Track, but a Great challenge.
The Cotton fields was a nice course, the greens were not anything to write home about. Maybe in mid June they’ll come around.
