Cotton Fields Golf Club, The

The course has always been a nice course. They've purchased brand new carts. The greens and fairways were nice but the bunkers need some work.

Greens are a bit slow, but I really enjoyed this course. Cant wait to play it again!

Course was in great shape considering the hot GA heat.

The greens are very bumpy and you can't get a true read.

Course needs work, should be better in couple weeks

The course is now being managed by Henry County and needs some updates to make the course an excellent public course. The course is a nice layout with many water holes and nice greens. Mature trees, dog legs and several small greens make up for the short yardage. Was advised they are purchasing new golf carts soon. On the down side, the cart paths are in need of repair and new sand is needed in many of the bunkers. I urge everyone to try Cotton Fields and help support the county in making the course an asset for everyone to enjoy.

This course needs major work on greens and bunkers. Bunkers had grass growing inside of them and very little sand, mostly dirt(red clay). Greens were very bumpy and slow. Beautiful layout, I hope conditions improve.

Well first off, been a member with the green valley golf group for a few months now, have yet to be put on the cotton fields system. They try to charge me every time I go and then argue with me about being a member. Not a single fresh cart at noon on a Saturday. Had to use a cart that still had beer cans all in it. Beer cans all over tee boxes. Greens need some work, might as well putt with your driver, as hard as you have to hit it to get it to go anywhere. Not a single rake for the bunkers on the course, make sure to bring your own if you want a decent lie in the sand. Just don't do it. Eagles Brooke is right up the street and for almost the same price you can play a premier course.

It was ok nothing special...

I love playing this course. It is going to be a sad day when Henry County closes this course.

A good value for money with good greens. Not a goat track and has good variations. Close to town that helps the locals.

My son and I had a tee time at 1:30p. We arrived early to warm up on the range. The staff was very friendly and due to the for seen weather, he advised if it rained too hard, we would get a rain check. Although it did rain; fortunately, it was light enough so we were able to complete our round. Pace of play was great, considering the "rain shy" golfers not playing. The greens, even with the rain, were in excellent condition. The best I've played on since playing Hilton Head. Great job with the recent course upgrades.

Cottonfields has come under new management and starting some good improvements. Course is in good shape with minor maintenance happening otherwise still a long and good track.

This newly renovated course had many good features like a friendly staff, good mix of hole layout and pretty terrain.
I appreciated the new greens but as I've found elsewhere, they were hard and slow. I think in another year the greens should be a joy.
The cart paths will beat you as you drive, some bunkers lack sand and a few tee boxes are in disrepair.
The blue tees are a challenge, shot shaping is a must.
If you've never been here, scout out the hole if possible.

Have played twice this week and appreciate the new greens although they could be cut a little faster. I appreciate the removal of some bunkers; but they need to add sand to most of the existing ones. Stay out of the rough around the greens because the ball settles down and it is very difficult to judge how it will come out. The fairways were very nice, so you are definitely rewarded if you stay in the middle. Still not one of the longest courses; but there are several trees that come into play from the back tees that adds to the challenge. The most annoying thing about this course is the cart paths. Repairs should be a priority.

The fairways and greens were in very good shape; cart paths were very rugged and need a lot of work; the sand traps were horrible need sand very badly; the ball cleaners were empty; pace of play could definitely improve, a lot of gamblers on the course playing slow!
