Not bad ....
First time there ... Par 3's require no more than pitching wedge but it's still fun. Attractive layout .. inexpensive and you can finish in 2.5 hours! Will definitely go back if time is a factor.
par 3, course is poor
I will never golf here again, short, needs cut, sand traps are rubbish....horrible exp
Worth the price
Great practice course. And I needed the practice. There one in front of me and one behind so time was not an issue.
Great Tract
Great ract for experienced golfers to work on your short game. Excellent course for begginner golfers.
Short, quick, and easy
This course is a very short course not meant for above average players. Very easy pin placements. I used my 60 degree wedge and putter 98% of the time. For the price, it is a good place to practice your putting and chipping. The greens were well maintained but the "fairways" and tee boxes were not. I would say this is a great course for beginners and kids.
Great Course to work on short game
Greens were slow, hard to judge your speed on the ball.
i wouldnt recomend the course
they have two flags and cups on every hole, the one for beginners got in our way several times, one of my approach shots actually hit in the beginner cup ruining the shot
Challenge Accuracy
The course is mostly par 3's with couple par 4's mixed in. The course really challenges your ability to land on the green. The pars 4's are somewhat narrow but with a good 3 wood or hybrid you can get pretty close to the greens. The course will answer the question are you practicing your wedge and putter enough. It was a fair price and was fun to play. I went with a buddy after work so it was great way to get 18 in during the week. This probably will become a regular habit.
sneak in a quick round on a pretty day
Executive length is great for practice or to sneak in a quick round on a pretty day. There are four short Par 4s and the rest are short Par 3s, but it's a testy enough layout to make you pay attention to club selection and shot execution. Greens were in excellent condition, and really kind of tricky. For beginners, on every green there are also alternate easier hole positions fitted with 12 inch wide cups, and forward tee boxes. (Of course, it can get slow when crowded with novices.) Good driving range and chipping facilities, too, all in a convenient, easy to reach location.
Executive course that provides a fun test.
I have not played Legacy in at least 10 years and I had a great time. They have put in a hybrid bermuda that holds up much better than the bent they used to have and they putt very well. The greens varied in shape and size to provide a change of pace. The teeing areas were in very good shape and the course provided a fun afternoon. They were reconditioning the bunkers after the heavy rains a couple days ago. They have two flags in the greens. One located in the center of the green with an extra large hole for beginners and then the regular hole with a location-coded flag (front-middle-back). The course had a few groups out during the weekday and there were two of us riding and we played in just over 2 hours and felt we were taking our time.
Nice executive golf course.
Mostly par 3's very nice course well maintained greens are in very good shape.
I plan on playing there again soon.
I like the course, Got a hole in one on the 16th hole
Very nice short course, Conditions are great at this time.
enjoyed playing at Legacy, very good practice facilities, greens in good shape.
enjoyed playing at Legacy, very good practice facilities, greens in good shape.
I love the greens as well as how well the course is maintained even through heavy traffic.
I have been going to this course since first getting into the game.
Offers plenty of holes to get your iron striking on point! Don't exspect a long golfing adventure the pace of play is really quick about two hours. Deffinatly would reccomend any player to give Legacy a try!
Good layout, but poor sand traps and some drainage issues
The course is challenging for a primarily par three course (4 short par fours).
They have added extra large cups on all greens, in addition to the normal cups - this is a nuisance, but normally causes no problem.
Many holes have drainage problems around the greens with soggy areas that stay that way, even when there is no rain.
The sand traps are basically red clay and rock traps, with little sand. I normally drop my ball behind the traps if I land in one so that I don't damage my clubs. Drainage from the greens is also directed into the traps, so there is often standing water.
It it still a fun course with a lot of opportunities for chipping practice.
Short & Sweet
14 par 3's and 4 par 4's being it my first time there I was unaware of this. Took advantage of the par 3's with two birdies, and was able to manage the par 4's. The greens are huge and undulated, make sure to get close to the pins to avoid three putts.
Good course you can finish in 3 hours.
Good course you can finish in 3 hours in the week days.
Fun course
This was a really fun but small course. Took us about 3 hours and that was our first time playing there. We will go back for sure.
Good chances for a hole-in-one
I would like to see fellow golfers at this course repair their ball marks, ride instead of walk, and otherwise speed up play. I would also like to see the extra large holes and flags on each green taken out.
