Terrible condition waste of money
Cart path only today. Fairways we’re mostly in terrible condition. Today was extremely windy. The conditions made the course very challenging. We teed off at 3:10 Sunset today was 710. We finish 17 at 7 PM and was told that was our last hole because we had to leave even though there was plenty of light to finish our round. A four hour round for cartpath only in the conditions we golfed in and the conditions the course was in is completely acceptable. I would have to say that just about any course in the area is so much better than Hilldale. Do not waste your money.

Highly Neglected and poorly maintained
Positives: Staff was very nice. The cart path on the front nine in decent shape. The greens were good, but not excellent. A lot of new and old ball marks are still there.
Negatives: Fairways are NOT maintained at all except for mowing. Uneven surfaces all over the place along with a vast amount of bare spots. Drainage is non-existent. No Ranger in sight (understandable, this early season). Roughs are utterly awful. Never going back. Gave 2 stars because of the staff and the course layout.

Best budget round in the Western Suburbs
Easily my favorite mid-week play. Affordable tee times for 18 holes and the pace of play is usually pretty good. Challenging layout that makes you use every club in the bag, always enjoy my rounds here!

Great Everyday Course
I have been playing consistently at Hilldale for the past 3 to 4 years and it has quickly become my main goto course. Fun, challenging yet not overbearing design, well maintained and overall a good value with many deals available. We switched from another course to start playing our weekday 9 hole after work informal league here because of all of the things mentioned above. I drive by at least three other courses to make this my home course. Highly recommend!

The beauty and challenge of Hilldale
Hilldale greens and course layout have kept us coming for over 20 years. Our group has regular tee times on Sunday and golf at least once a week additionally because we love the course and price is right. We look forward to the different demands of the par 3’s and par 5’s. Hitting long helps but being accurate critical to scoring. The different elevations make course beautiful to look at and challenging to play. The par fours have risk/reward opportunities. Every club in your bag gets a chance to play. Additionally Jimmy has created a friendly atmosphere and Brian makes sure course is best condition possible. There’s nothing like a great day on the course with friends.

A fun, playable Golf Course you should enjoy.
Green are great, it is not manicured but has many interesting, fun holes. They usually keep the pace going and in the summer have a Great Hamburger, Brat or Hot Dog at the turn.....really great stuff. Fun atmosphere a Range just before the 1st tee to get ready and a nice practice putting area..... Really Fun $42-$45 a DEAL!

Nice weather in November brings out the golfers
Course was in great shape for this late in the year, but the nice weather brought out everyone trying to get in another round. Got out on time, but as soon as we hit the par 5 #2 we had a wait on every hole. Ended up being a 5 hour round.
