Getting worse
Pace of play was awful. We waited on every tee. They book their tee times much too close together. Granted, it has rained a lot lately but it was in awful condition.

Hilldale Golf Course
Excellent course for the money. Would have given it a 5 star except need more sand in traps. Nice layout, challenging for all levels of golfers. My son who has a 7.1 index was visiting and he like the course and it challenged his skills. It was a fun round that move as expected.

A great place - other than the starter and lack of course facilities
We had a 12 noon Labor Day tee time and arrived at the tee at 11:55, just as a group was leaving.
The starter said that was our group (SENT 5 min EARLY) and I should tee off. He continued to rush my tee shot - to the point I had to tell him to back off. I was ahead of time, but he let the group leave - missing a player. NOT a great way to start the day.
The folks I was paired with were nice and waited for me to catch up on the first. The round went okay after that. This is a great, challenging course - in great condition - but could you splurge for some porta Jon’s? There wasn’t one to be had on the entire course.
The beer cart person was nice but not well versed on cart etiquette. As one of our players was teeing off, she decided to back up the cart - with all the beeps - then proceeded to catch the cart roof or roof frame on a tree branch. THEN SHE DROVE DOWN THE CART PATH OF THE PAR THREE WE WERE DRIVING FROM! Not good.
This is my third visit to this course this year and my best score to date there. However, the lack of facilities and ignorant course staff was a negative,

Disappointing
The fairways are in very poor condition. I usually like this course, but will have to wait until next year to play again.

Could be better
Convenient location at reasonable price
Too many slow players no rangers to enforce faster pace of play
Took almost 6 hours which is too long

Playing on cement
Course is in BAD shape. If you like hay play here..

too much rain to continue the remaining 9 holes, but no rain check
The Hilldale GC shop manager (lady) advised me to contact GolfNow.com on raincheck because of prepaid teetime owned by Golfnow.com.
I would be grateful if GolfNow.com would give me a raincheck or credit asap.

Terrible Experience
Terrible experience. I have golfed here 5 times and each time gets worse. Tee boxes have little to no grass. Greens have unfixed divots and dead spots all over them. On hole one there are hundreds of range balls on the fairway, some on the green. The pace of play is not enforced, it took my group almost 3 hours to finish the front 9 because the two groups ahead of us wouldn't let us through and would hit multiple balls a person. We told the ranger what was going on and he ignores us and drove away. We found the ranger sleeping in his cart on the back nine later on. They told us on hole 16 that they were calling carts in at 7:45 (30 minutes before sunset). We got to hole 18 at 7:35 and was told we couldn't finish...

In General good but no washroom facilities on course.

Course needs work
Some of the tee boxes look horrible with weeds all over the stairs and all around them sand traps have a lot of weeds to course needs to be watered very hard surface
