Greens Are Stinky

Fine course, greens are really bad. Fine for the money but greens need an overhaul

Fundulations

First time playing the course as soon as I was driving up, I was an all my jaw was wide-open coming from South Florida, where everything is pretty much flat and barely any undulations. The only thing I could see on the whole course was very many on you undulations. I want to say that I had a great time. The course was in pretty decent shape other than a few T boxes the layout is great very fun staff very fun course to play very challenging and my shins are still sore. I recommend anybody playing this course.

All day long golf 5+ hours

The ranger there does zero to enforce pace of play. He’s on his cell phone jerking around instead of getting people to move along. I would give course higher rating for faster play. The 2:15 Medicare foursome in front of us were painful to be behind. The group in front of them was 2 holes behind. The course was in better shape than last time for sure.

Nice round at Heritage

Always a fun course to play. Tee boxes are in awful shape. Hardly any grass. Greens were in good shape but course gets a ton of play and people do not repair divots. Fairways were kind of hard most likely due to not enough rain. I think its definitely worth 40$ and would play again.

Cool Facilities

While I have seen this course several times on GolfNow. It was my first time playing it. It offers three distinct nines, and some challenge of the tee requiring accuracy. I will be playing when in area going forward.

Could have been 5 stars

I was ready to give this course a 5 star rating after playing the front 9. The staff was super friendly. We played as a twosome on a weekday. A foursome let us play through on the 2nd hole and we played the Heritage 9 in an hour and a half. Sure the green complexes with the bunkers and severely undulating greens were tricky. But it was kind of fun.

Then we went over to the Tradition 9. First off, you have to drive back down the Heritage first hole to get there. We get there and there is a group teeing off on the first hole. Turns out they were starting people on that 9 too. Took 2 1/2 hours to play that 9.

But the kicker is, after playing the Tradition, you have to drive back up the Heritage 1st hole, right into the teeth of people teeing off at you, to get back to the clubhouse. That’s just not right.

So the course overall rating and layout get docked for starting groups on both sides and not having a better way to get to the Tradition 9.

Very enjoyable round despite slowness

Course was in pretty great condition, just a few tee boxes that could use some touch up. Pace of play was extremely slow as it ended up being over a 5 hour round. It would have been nice to have a marshal driving around to enforce pace of play, as there were some VERY slow groups in front of us that led to a gap of 2-3 holes being empty in front of them. It was a really enjoyable round though other than all of the waiting.
