Lake Arrowhead Yacht & Country Club - Highlands Course

The course was one of the most beautiful and challenging courses I have played. The scenery was amazing and was not that busy at all but it was a Tuesday. I would definitely come back to play again and recommend it to a friend. Only complaint is it needs more signs around the course directing you to the next tee. Other than that 9/10 for the price.

The starter was splitting groups of four into twosomes, no wonder the pace of play was over FIVE hours. Called the marshall out and asked him was the normal pace was for the course and his legit answer was “I have no idea”. THATS THE JOB OF A MARSHALL!! They did nothing to speed up the pace of play, so after a three hour front nine, lots of people quit and it finally sped up slightly.

Entrance road from Hwy. 108 turnoff to guard house is under construction, alternating pavement and dirt/mud. Once past guard house, long, hilly drive through neighborhood to get to clubhouse. Friendly staff. Played on a cool, misty, foggy day, so had the place mostly to myself. Course was soggy in places, but that was expected. Very hilly course, and a few signs could be added when traversing between a few of the holes. I hadn't played there in years (since they flipped the nines), so I had to figure out a few of the turns on the cart path. Tee boxes were sparse in places, with sand on some (hopefully grass will grow in during the summer). Wide fairways were green, hard to tell the firmness with all the moisture. Greens were in good shape, slow mostly due to the moisture. The moisture did pick up whatever minimal sand was left from previous aeration, but the ball still rolled fairly true. Bunkers seemed okay, hard to tell with the previous rainfall. Beautiful mountain scenery, with hills, meadows, and the occasional wildlife. Worth the drive, would be better on a nicer, drier day (but then the crowds would be out as well). A distance scope is a must to figure out yardages to hazards, and yardages to carry.

This is my 3rd time at Arrowhead. I brought a friend who had never played there. Course is in excellent condition. The Greens are in tip- top shape as are the fairways. The Tees are in Good shape but not as good as the rest of the course. There were workers all around so they are improving and maintaining. We did not have to wait for anyone nor were we rushed from behind. It was a great day for golf. We teed off right on time at 10:30.

The course is in great shape. This was my first round here. Luckily i got paired with some locals that knew the course.there are several T shots that require distance control. Overall, it is a fun and challenging course. If you don't put the ball in the right place at the right distance it could make it difficult to score.

The course is not in good shape at all.

Fairways were very hard with limited grass, the greens were very inconsistent, bunkers were inconsistent as well.

To top it off we were one hour into our round on hole #7 with no one in sight anywhere and they have a ranger driving around telling everyone to pick it up and play ready golf. We will never return.

Decent condition for early May, greens were not consistent in cut, resulting in speeds fluctuating on every hole. Tee boxes were a disgrace, improvement needed.

LakevArtowhead is always a great experience. Picturesque views, challenging track, friendly staff and a steal for the price. In great shape as always. Greens were aerated but guessing, in about a week, they should be ready. And have your camera ready, wildlife everywhere!

Extremely fun course to play. First time here and probably playing again before I leave at the end of the week

They were top dressing the greens so my review on conditions bears this out. It was otherwise nicely groomed, tough and a lot of fun. I wouldn't even consider walking this course. Very hilly and a long way from green to tee box in many cases.
