you get what u pay for. better than being at work
Decent course. I play here a couple times a month. Glad they are on golf now finally. Greens are bumpy but fast. Tee time was pushed back about 30 min which was annoying considering it was 1 in the afternoon. No alcahol for sale but good soda and other choices. Tee boxes were just dirt on a lot of holes. I would rate this place a lot higher if I hadn't missed out on the final 3 holes due to darkness when we paid for a 1 pm tee time 2 days before. Oh well, it is what it is.
Pine hills
Pine Hills is a good course for working on your game. It is a short course with elevation changes and water hazards. The green are slow but have a good roll. The staff is friendly and it took just fours hours to play on a Saturday afternoon. Good value for the money.
improved course
I have golfed here for many years, and the owners are really trying to improve the course. It is a great place to go work on your shots, not stuffy, and priced right.
First time maybe one more
First time I've played the course it was ok for the money; however when a 4some is ahead of you with 3 riding and one walking with his bag pace of play and frustration sets in. Being held up and pushed by people behind you.
Pine Hills - Hidden Course
I had no idea this course existed - I've played The Chimney's hundreds of times, but never knew Pine Hills was 1 mile away! The course is average, it's good value for your money if you want to go out and hit some different shots. It's no Augusta National, but then again... who is? I'm sure in the spring and fall the course brightens up with colors, but everyone has dormant facilities now in the winter. I enjoyed the course and will come back - the staff made me feel welcomed and appreciated.
Hit some balls
If you are just looking to hit some balls to dial in some distances on you clubs this is the place. Not a place to go low. These greens are below standard. Don't go up there when there is the Senior league in the mornings because their 5 somes and 6 somes will not even think about you playing through. Wait till after 1 if you wanna try this one out.
Course condition is not good
First time and will be my last time to play on this course. Fairways and green condition are not to normal. Windered the price is cheap. If the course condition is improve certainly will draw many players especially thise who wish to walk.
nice course
Decent challenge nice overall great course for average golfers
Good course for new golfers and average golfers
Pine Hills is a excellant course for new golfers, the average golfer, seniors and ladies. Course is home course for the Jugg Tavern Senior Golf Association which playes each Tuesday and Thursday. The course fairways and greens are comparable to the average -good public courses in the area.
Terrible Course
For $20 I wasn't expecting Augusta National, but this place was in terrible condition. The fairways were full of large clumps of wet grass clippings. The "greens" were bumpy and uneven; obviously just poorly cut Bermuda that was sprayed green. The cart paths were terrible; I was afraid for my clubs with all the bumps and potholes that we hit with the cart. I would not recommend this course. For the same price, go play The Chimneys or Lane Creek.
