About

Conveniently situated between Athens and Lawrenceville, the Providence Club has a scenic location stretching right along the Appalachee River that makes it feel much more like a getaway. The golf course has been considered one of northeast Georgia's best since opening in 1998. The layout takes advantage of the rolling terrain, incorporating elevated tees and uneven lies. The greens often feature slopes and undulations but they are fair and they roll true. They are also known for being excellently maintained. Mature trees frame many of the holes and there are several strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout. Water doesn't come into play too often but the elevation changes will provide plenty of challenges. The golf course is player friendly enough to accommodate a wide range of skill levels with a few tricky holes to keep the round interesting.

Great course in Monroe Georgia

Can’t beat this course for the money . Very reasonable price for a very nice course. I love it all except the par 5 on the back nine they make cart path only gut done reason. Other than that 5 stars .

Fun and Well Maintained

Really enjoyed the Providence Club. The course was immaculately maintained, and the greens were in perfect conditio…smooth, with enough undulation to make them challenging without feeling unfair. I especially liked the mix of holes that require some strategy off the tee and others where you can just pull driver and let it rip.

Pace of play was a little slow for a Tuesday, but 4:15 overall was still reasonable. Great course, great conditions, and a fun layout. I’ll definitely be back.

Great course

Great course nestled in the Georgia pines, a few tight fairways, lots of rolling hills and some stunning views, greens were in great condition, although some where faster than others they all rolled true. Definitely great value for your money

Haven’t played here for a few years and had a very fun round. Great, friendly staff and started who got us out in front of a threesome. Tee boxes were a little rough, but fairways and greens were in great shape. Tough course as you have quite a few narrow fairway, but a very fair course. Only drawback are their are no rest room facilities on either 9. Only option is the clubhouse between front and back 9s. This is a great value for the money and a very fun course to play.

Course was in very good condition, greens were excellent, pace of play was extremely slow, no marshals to move play along, no water on course or cart personnel, you could die of thirst. But would still recommend to friends. Very nice course.

Perfect Friday

I have been playing for 3 years. My tee time was 8:06am. There were no one in front of me and no one behind me and I played by myself. I had an awesome round of 85. Most of the course was still shaded. Course is in fantastic shape, greens are great. Highly Recommend!
