Kahili Golf Course
About
Kahili Golf Course is positioned on the slopes of the West Maui Mountains, offering picturesque views of the regal Haleakala and the Pacific Ocean.
The world-class layout is a popular stop for visiting and local, amateur and tournament golfers alike. The par-72, 6,554-yard course, constructed in 1991, was designed by Robin Nelson and Rodney Wright.
Elevation changes are the norm at Kahili, with par 3s on the back side laying up and downhill to small greens. A lake and a dry creek bed are in play on the front side, making accuracy a necessity. And the par 5s are short enough to give long hitters a chance at birdies and eagles.
Kahili features beautiful practice facilities with a driving range and putting and chipping greens. Golfers can relax after a round at Kahili Restaurant, which offers good food at value prices. Also, for golfers with larger party needs, the Nahele Banquet Room is the ideal location for weddings, reunions, business meetings and seminars.

Best Course we played in Maui
My wife and I played Kahili for the first time on Jan. 10, 2014 and liked it so much we booked again for a 2nd round. The course is interesting and challenging and the views amazing. Great staff, great greens and great sand traps. We are going back to Maui and will now probably play all our rounds here. We both loved it!
Excellent course
It was extremely windy the day we played there. Golfed with a really nice couple from Bowen Island.
Played a second time there and a huge rain storm came in halfway through. Fun but we got soaked.
nice course for an intermediate golfer like myself
it was raining and a little cool so not many brave souls were out -- therefore the good pace of play. The course was in excellent condition considering the amount of rainfall. Water hazards and a good growth of heavy foliage (it is Maui), enticed you to keep the ball on our near the fairway. Also, lots of well placed traps: fairway and hole areas. Some fairway slanted, but the GPS was helpful on where to place your shots to keep the ball in play and allow for the best next shot position. p.s. I pretty much shot my handicap and smiled the entire time -- it's golfing in Hawaii!!!
Wish we played twice
This was by far our foursomes favorite course of our Maui vacation. We played four courses and this was the cheapest green fee. The views are awesome. The staff on the course was great. Be sure to play here if you get a chance. We will next time we are on Maui.
Kahili golf
very good time playing with friends and would advocate this course to anyone. We have played here many times.
Beautiful course
Loved the course, was laid out very well. Pace of play was a little slow for had to wait on the folks in front of us on most holes. For the money it was a great course, great views and the course is in great shape. Staff was friendly as well. We are returning again on Monday to play the same course.
Scenic views, well maintained
This is a lovely course to play. It's not difficult but thought provoking. The views of the ocean and countryside are splendid. The best value on the island in our opinion.
GREAT FOR INTERMEDIATE GOLFER
PRO STAFF AND STARTER WERE FABULOUS THEY ALL WANTED TO MAKE YOU GOLF GAME ENJOYABLE.
GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY.
Very nice course with some great views.
This is a very nice course. There are occasional ocean views. Course is a reasonable length. There are some doglegs, holes going both up and down hill. For the money, this is one of the better deals on Maui.
I love this course as much now as I did last year.
I played this course 2-3 last year during my first visit to Maui and wanted to play it again to see if I'd feel the same way about it. After playing the Wailea Old Blue course, I realize what a great deal this course is. Such friendly staff that seem truly happy to be there, fantastic views from the mountain and a good challenging course that changes greatly with the trade winds coming through. The greens seemed much slower than I remember them to be and quite a bit slower than Wailea Old Blue. Overall, another great experience and a course I would recommend to any visitor on this island.
Best Golfing Value For Visitors to Maui
Golfed here multiple times in a month long stay and was mostly pleased with course. Staff were helpful and accommodating. Although not long the course was challenging especially when the wind blew which is most of the time. Very fair for women golfing from the red tees. Greens were well kept except for #3 which needs slight regrading to aid in drainage. Fairways were in good shape and bunkers played uniform. Pace of place would benefit from more marshalling. Great views of Haleakala and the entire middle of the island. GPS on carts very useful for yardages but a little annoying when throttle governor kicks in on the fairway.
Fun to play, great views.
Fairways and greens were in great shape. Several dogleg holes that require enough distance off the tee to have a clear view of the green for the second shot. GPS in the carts is a big help. Only thing that would be an improvement is if the course would rake the bunkers daily (the sand is difficult to smooth out with the hand rakes and many golfers don't take the time to do it right).
GREAT BANG FOR YOUR BUCK!
I highly recommend Kahili. It's easy to get to from all over the island. Once there the staff is friendly, good practice range and putting area, clubs are set up on a cart for you. the course itself is a good layout, with the back tees being challenging and the whites and reds more user friendly. Lots of elevation changes and a variety of holes. Greens hold shots and are reasonably quick. All in all, for the price, it is tough to beat. a friend who has played some of the more expensive courses rates this an equal.
Great value in a spectacular setting.
Used Golfnow.com to secure a round for under $50 per person andthat was with cart Iincluding GPS.
A super value
I have played several courses on Maui this trip and I think that Kahili ranks right up there with the Dunes, Elleair and even the Plantation. The course was very well groomed although everything does move to the valley. Greens weren't 12 but they were true enough so you could read them. The vistas were pretty awesome. I hope I get to play it again before I leave...
Nice course. Windy
Nicely laid out with good elevated greens and traps swell maintained. Not terribly difficult.
Gorgeous, perfect, great value!
Best golf value I've ever seen. Perfect fairways and greens. Beautiful scenery. 100 on greens keeper staff. :-))
beautiful with an amazing view
We were a 3 some. It took us 5.5 hours to play. There was not a marshal on the course. Too slow and noone to speed it up. We call for a new cart because the battery light was on and noone came out to replace the cart.. I like playing here...but not sure if I will return because of some of these issues.
Very Nice
Played golf on our honeymoon in Hawaii. Staff was awesome, course was very, very nice. I would definitely play again. Great course that goes up in to the mountains of Maui, HI
Good course
You are golfing in Maui for 49 bucks what more is there to say !
