Tamarack Golf Club

Course was in excellent shape and pace of play was fast.

Tee time was 3:08 on a Tuesday and we were basically alone. So our pace was as fast as we could play. Lots of good traps and water. Not much elevation variations or difficult rough. Right in a neighborhood so close proximity to streets and homes. Most fairways were straight. Said 6000+ yards but felt shorter. It was May 19th when I played but there were way too many dandelions.

Course is in decent condition all things considered, but there were dandelions everywhere. That was a little off puting. Also we waited on every single shot. From the 1st tee, to the approach on 18. Slooooow.

I live near this course and wanted to enjoy a morning round as a single, no matter if I was paired up or not. I had an 845 tee time which wasn't honored. I got bumped to 853 which was not a problem. The pair I was grouped with never showed so I was asked to wait another 40 mins to tee off which I declined. I went off as a single. There was no starter, no ranger on the course to keep play at a decent pace. 4 hours into my round I was not even to the 15th tee box, with 3 foursomes ahead of me. This I find unacceptable. I guess I am spoiled by Catigny and Prairie Landing but I feel a round on a morning as a single should not take over 5 hours. I will not ever go back and play this course.

I was recommended this course by a few people and have heard of it quite a few times in the past as a nice course. Maybe courses like mill creek and prairie landing have spoiled me but this course was in pretty rough shape. No way to repair divots on the tea boxes so they are pretty hacked up. Cart path needs a lot of work in some places and there's a few street crossings to make to get around the course.

On the good side of things, the overall layout was nice, the greens on some holes were protected by bunkers which made an approach shot a challenge.

Overall, not a bad course but the way people have talked about it in the past made it seem it used to be a lot better. It certainly had the potential to be a really nice course.

Very slow play. 5 hours to play 18 holes and no rangers are enforcing pace of play. Great value for some tee times and course in decent shape. No ball washers on the course either which are desperately needed.

Early in the year but pretty good shape pace was great I will play again!

Could be a great course (interesting holes/layout) except for the poor conditions. I've played Tamarack several times and find the Tee boxes, fairways and sand traps need a lot of maintenance. Lots of unrepaired divots in the fairways, ball marks on the greens and it seems like no one rakes the sand traps.

Also, bring your own drinking water. The on course facilities are lacking.

The owners of this course must have given up on it. Pathetic

Looks like the owners forgot about their investment.

The half way house for food is a joke. All they serve is hot dogs.

For late fall, course was in fine shape. Greens were a challenge as usual.

Need to hit it straight here or wind up in hazard, ob, or in a fairway trap. Greens were bumping and needed mowing. With not a flat lie on any green and lots of bumps, I found putting very diffiucult

First time I have played Tamarack and overall had a very good impression of the course. A LOT of water so consistency and straight shots are key to posting a good score. I am currently at about a 20 handicap and shot a little over my average score. Water shows up on about 15 of 18 holes. Prior to going I saw a lot of reviews regarding slow play and no rangers. However, the course was pretty open for a foursome to complete the round in about 4.5 hours. We frequently saw a ranger to and the beer cart was around practically whenever we needed it.

I was dissapointed in the condition of the course. I have played there several times over the years. This is the first time I have been there in about three years. The ballwashers had no water, waterpoints had no drinking water, and there was piles of brush all over the course that needs cleaned up.
All my previous rounds have been very good and course was very nice. I'm not sure why course is in bad shape now.

course use to be pristine. in terrible shape. t boxes in horrific shape.

If you like a course with narrow fairways with lots of water, you found it. Beware, if don't hit 'em down the middle, chances are your ball will find its way to the water lined fairways. The greens will test your putting skills with pin placements at the most challenging part of the green. It's a great course, enjoyed playing it, lost lots of balls but also found some as well.

As a beginner in golf (1 yr) I played this course with a seasoned golfer. Because this course has water on EVERY hole, you learn quickly that sometimes you need to sacrifice distance in order to keep your ball in play. Will definately be back here.

The grounds were in excellent shape. Clubhouse is very nice. Look forward to playing this course again.

The course was in pretty good shape for this time of year. Pace was slow, our round took almost 5 hours, too long for a Wednesday morning. Could use some more personel, no rangers, not even a starter at number 1.
