Tamarack Golf Club
About
Tamarack Golf Club is a course that will test your shot-making skills yet it is still player-friendly enough to appeal to all skill levels. Pete Dye designed the course with tight, sculpted fairways and undulating greens that come in a range of sizes. The layout offers plenty of challenges with water or sand coming into play on every hole. The golf course will test your accuracy but it is not as difficult as many other Dye designs. The third is one of the toughest holes. A severely undulating green protected by deep bunkers makes placement vitally important on this par 3. The 15th is one of the back nine's more challenging holes. It presents an interesting risk-reward opportunity with a myriad of teeing options. Water lines the entire right side and the two-tiered green is flanked with bunkers to the front and right.

Bad experience ....
Payed for 18, but after it taking 3 hours to shoot 9 we decided to leave.. Poor management on the course..
OK
The Course would probably be better if it hadn't rain so much within the last week. The course was pretty wet.
Review
Course was in pretty good condition. Pace of play was good.
The course was not maintainnrd very well.
I had a 11:00 tee time. I did not tee off until 11:45. The round took 51/2 hours. It was short staffed that caused delays.
Tough course, impersonal
This is a challenging course with plenty of water and good length.
The greens need mowing and are bumpy. The fairways are pock marked but OK. The staff doesn't volunteer any information to you about deals, what kind of day it is, etc.
Nice smooth course. Very enjoyable n great greens.
Good times at this course. Par 3s are a blast. Got 2 birdies n 5 pars.
Under construction, good for value
On the par 3 16th I believe, was under some huge construction underneath the hole...which didn't necessarily play into effect if you just get it onto the green. as far as hazards go, water lined fairways played a definite part in my shot shaping on nearly every hole. But the most impressive and challenging part of this course is most definitely the bunkers. If you're not a fantastic bunker player, do not...I repeat do NOT take a hard line at the flagstick, you will b punished by the soft, deeply riveted bunkers. I played a 3 shots out of the bunker and had 2 great ones that checked up nicely 3 or 4 feet from the pin. But when on the par 3's, hitting a bunker off of a high shot will almost guarantee an absolutely buried lie.
wonderful value at $25.00 would pay more
Bring an extra sleeve lotsa aqua.
May be bring 2 extra sleeves lotta aqua
Gotta keep it in play. Splurge for $1.50 (11960 price) for an
first rate yardage book.
Great course, but the layout is confusing
Tamarack Golf Club is a great course with a good mix of challenging and easy holes. One of my main complaints would be the course layout. Several times there are no signs pointing you in the direction of the next hole. I have played here once before and there used to be directions painted on the sidewalk but those have been removed / walked off. A sign in the ground next to the green would be a huge help letting you know the next hole is across the street and to the left. We took a wrong turn twice when trying to find the next hole. FInally one last complaint, cart #23 needs to be retired and have the brakes fixed. Our parking brake was useless, the cart would not stay parked even on flat ground. We had to make sure the steering wheel was turned at a 45° angle every time we got out otherwise the rolling alarm would sound.
staff the best. Course very competetive. Many hole variations. Water everywhere.
Staff the best. Starter accomodating. Well spaced play. Few delays. Water everywhere. Must stay in fairways. Can't beat price. Course in great shape, especially greens.
Average Course
Overall the course is average for the area. The course is in decent shape with one hole under construction. The course could be in better shape and use some better marking for holes since it goes through a subdivision with little direction for where the next hole is.
course is in good shape considering the amount of rain we have had.
This course is well maintained for a public course. Play moves along nicely and the people are friendly. I would recommend it to my friends.
Great
The course was great, but the 17th hole was close that day, still a nice course
Great green fees for this time of year for a nice golf course
Tamarack Golf Course for this time of year was not in the best of shape, fairways need work and greens were not in the best condition. But for the first week in April I wasn't looking or expecting pristine conditions. The seventeenth hole was under construction and was not open for play.
Great conditions on challenging course
Greens are usually in great shape. A lot of water makes this a tough track and the fairways often slope to the water. You can't spray from the Tee
old school feel, decesion making shots
Lots of hazards from tee shots (water)
Fairways slope into hazards
Fun course to play, moderately challenging
Course played well even wet conditions and for being so late in season.
Always a great time at Tamarack course has a bunch of challenging holes at a good $value in price. Layout is very well spread out which makes for fast and smooth pace of play. Staff is extremely friendly, Amanda in the proshop was very kind and outgoing! Thank U!!
Tamarack challenges your play but rewards good course management
Tamarack has everything. Long par 5's, long and short par 3's; and par 4's that have risk reward qualities. Water on the course makes good course management essential requiring effective use of fades and or draws whichever is your poison. The staff here are great providing a welcoming sense that sets you up for a wonderful day. On course refreshments from super friendly staff are readily available. Half way house also provides a pleasant experience. Way to go Tamarack.
