About
Tamarack Golf Club is a course that will test your shot-making skills yet it is still player-friendly enough to appeal to all skill levels. Pete Dye designed the course with tight, sculpted fairways and undulating greens that come in a range of sizes. The layout offers plenty of challenges with water or sand coming into play on every hole. The golf course will test your accuracy but it is not as difficult as many other Dye designs. The third is one of the toughest holes. A severely undulating green protected by deep bunkers makes placement vitally important on this par 3. The 15th is one of the back nine's more challenging holes. It presents an interesting risk-reward opportunity with a myriad of teeing options. Water lines the entire right side and the two-tiered green is flanked with bunkers to the front and right.

Not impressed
Staff seemed very confused at every point in interaction with them. I don’t want to see it’s because they were all young kids, but everyone seemed very unorganized.. We finding signage was not good at all. TB is had missing markers. Bunkers were filled with water and very hard. I’m not sure I would go back even if I got a smoking deal. There are better courses out there for the money.

Pace of play was terrible
Overall the course is decent for the fees they charge which are lower than average. The pace of play was the biggest issue. I ended up quitting without finishing the last 3 holes due to how long it took to play each hole. At no point was there any course employees managing this. The groups ahead should have been notified to allow us to play through. It’s an expensive sport to not be able to finish a round you paid for. 18 holes would have take n us 5 1/2 hours.

Beat up, punched greens, concrete bunkers
This course is a joke - it’s like there’s been zero care taken to the tee boxes, greens, or bunkers. Tee boxes have dead spots and divots everywhere and there’s barely anywhere to hit. Greens look like they were punched but not watered this spring - holes everywhere and super bumpy - no true rolls. Bunkers have huge rocks in them and are like concrete - we had to just take any bunker shots from the nearby rough.
Course used to be a great track now it’s been neglected.
Decent course
I enjoyed the layout of the course and it was fairly challenging but also fun enough to not get frustrated. The tee boxes and greens could use some work. Pitch marks everywhere on the greens made putting difficult in a bad way. Otherwise friendly staff and early morning pace was quick and enjoyable.
