About
Tamarack Golf Club is a course that will test your shot-making skills yet it is still player-friendly enough to appeal to all skill levels. Pete Dye designed the course with tight, sculpted fairways and undulating greens that come in a range of sizes. The layout offers plenty of challenges with water or sand coming into play on every hole. The golf course will test your accuracy but it is not as difficult as many other Dye designs. The third is one of the toughest holes. A severely undulating green protected by deep bunkers makes placement vitally important on this par 3. The 15th is one of the back nine's more challenging holes. It presents an interesting risk-reward opportunity with a myriad of teeing options. Water lines the entire right side and the two-tiered green is flanked with bunkers to the front and right.

Great value, needs love
The value for this course at twilight was unbeatable. It's a real golf course at an insanely affordable rate. Greens and fairways were well kept. Everything else needs just a bit more attention. Especially the bunkers.

Make sure to ask about conditions
Course has a nice location but the staff and grounds crews were on different level. We golfed on an overcast day. Understandable the greens were not going to be the best but pro shop didn't tell us they had just been plugged and we're in pretty bad shape. The grounds crew seem to follow us from home to hole mowing the first fringe as we putted and then mow right next to us as we teed off. It was kind comical actually. The frustrating part was when I made the turn and asked for a rain check cause we had been rained on for the last 2 holes. The gentlemen said he couldn't because it was lightly sprinkling and looked like it was clearing up. Asked for a hot dog instead since I was going to play through. He said they didn't have any. Just had to shake my head. In any event did not want to make a deal out of it, figured it was Murphy's law that day. There were 5 total cars in the parking lot and they probably were dealing with other issues.

Senior-friendly, walkable course
Good: Flat layout, easy for walkers. Plenty of water hazards. Fairways/greens in good condition. Some winter debris still lingers, but playable. Management responded after my last suggestion to clean the greens. Thank you!
Need some work: Some sand bunkers still have mud,. Hopefully they will be fixed by spring.

Flat course.. Main hazards are water, water, and water
Good: Easy course for seniors to walk. Fairways are in very good condition.
Need attention: Greens need some cleaning (understand it is winter, but as long as the course is open, pls clean the greens). A few bunkers need some maintenance.

Nice course
Tamarack is a fun course with good length and nice greens
It’s normally a good value on golf now and pace of play is normally good. I play here about 5 times a year because they are one of the 1 st courses to open and last to close.
If it were closer to my house I would play it more often
Good value course
The course is not usually very busy and generally has a good pace of play. The staff is really friendly and the course conditions are about average. Could use more and better facilities/infrastructure but it is a great course for the price.
