About
Bartlett Hills Golf Club has been a favorite Chicagoland golf destination since it first opened in 1929. To keep the layout up to modern standards, it has undergone many changes over the years but it still has the same classic character. At 6,463 yards from the back tees, this traditional layout might not be long but it still provides a fair test. Rather than distance, the golf course demands smart play and accurate shot placement thanks to narrow, tree-lined fairways and several tricky doglegs. You might not have many chances to use your driver but you'll definitely get some iron practice. There isn't too much trouble off of the tees at Bartlett Hills G.C. But greenside you'll be faced with nearly 30 strategically placed bunkers and water hazards come into play on seven holes, which include some forced carries.

Nice layout
Really nice layout and changes in elevation.
Slow pace of play. and no rangers to shepherd the slow golfers along. I will certainly give B.H. another round.

Nice Course at Reasonable Price
Bartlett Hills is a nicely laid out course. The course is suited for most golfers. The fairways are wide but bad shots can end in the trees or weeds. The greens can be fast and require some finesse. One area that needs improvement is the tee boxes need to be watered more. Some of them it was difficult to get the tee in.

Somewhat Challenging course , well-maintained.
Fast, elevated greens, plenty of elevation changes on the fairways. Reasonably challenging. If you are a senior consider taking the cart. It is a busy course even in the middle of the week so expect poor pace of play.

Great Deal
The course was in great shape, tee boxes need some softening up, greens were fast as was the early morning pace of play, would definitely make a habit of playing here

Had a wonderful time playing here! The only disappointments were the price I payed and there were no ball washers on the tee boxes. I was lucky I brought bottled water with me because there was only one drinking fountain (located on the 12th tee box). Other than those things, the course was in excellent shape, the staff was nice and helpful. They have an excellent restaurant/bar as well!

Thieves
Finished playing around 8:30pm and accidentally left my rangefinder on the cart. Called first thing the next morning and even gave them the specific cart number I was in. Somehow the rangefinder wasn’t there anymore even though nobody else used the cart. Careful not to leave anything in your carts here. Seems like the lost and found is only used sparingly.

Slow Play
Usually play this course in less than 4 hours but we had a slow threesome in front of us so it took 4.5 hours. Otherwise, we had a great time!

Course has gone to crap!!!!!
I used to play this course when I was in my 20’s and it was a awesome course very well maintained. And that is not the case anymore so sad to see it look this way traps had weeds in them and the course was just in terrible shape not taking care of at all. I do not recommend anyone going there.

Great Value
This course is very nice and challenging - its a bargain if you get a teeoof.com slot. Greens are well maintained and fast. The course can get slow by mid-morning.
