Bartlett Hills Golf Club
About
Bartlett Hills Golf Club has been a favorite Chicagoland golf destination since it first opened in 1929. To keep the layout up to modern standards, it has undergone many changes over the years but it still has the same classic character. At 6,463 yards from the back tees, this traditional layout might not be long but it still provides a fair test. Rather than distance, the golf course demands smart play and accurate shot placement thanks to narrow, tree-lined fairways and several tricky doglegs. You might not have many chances to use your driver but you'll definitely get some iron practice. There isn't too much trouble off of the tees at Bartlett Hills G.C. But greenside you'll be faced with nearly 30 strategically placed bunkers and water hazards come into play on seven holes, which include some forced carries.

Weather was great, Course is in Goof Shape
I had not played Bartlett Hills in several years. The layout is challenging and enjoyable. We were able to play in 3 hours. One group let us play through, and the groups ahead played quickly.
Fun course
I really enjoyed playing here. Greens were fast but could use a little TLC. It is early in the season so I’m sure it will improve through the summer. The tee boxes and greens are a little tight on some of the holes so you must be accurate. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
BH is a good challenge
We played in 3 hrs - one group let us play through as a twosome. The course was in pretty good condition, on par to other courses in the area. BH is challenging course. The course offers many different hole designs.
Nice course, under repair
This is a nice course that is undergoing fairway repairs. The greens and tee boxes are in good shape. Give the fairways some time to regenerate.
Windy!
Such a hidden gem. Greens are nice and sand traps have SAND.
Terrible Course Condition
A total waste of money - the course is in awful condition. The greens are rock hard, except for a few fairways they are horrible - the rough is outrageous.
Greens in Poor Condition
I’ve played here once before and enjoyed it, but was very disappointed with course conditions today. The greens were extremely dry causing them to play ridiculously fast.
Always a great time at Bartlett
Place is really unique. Great atmosphere in the clubhouse and pro shop staff was very helpful. Shoutout to Bill who helped me pick out golf balls. Course was in really good shape. Place seems to get better every time we play here. So many different lies from side angle to flat and hills all over the place. We try and make this place a weekly stop for all us “old guys”
Interesting track and great value
Really fun hidden gem in the western suburbs. Played it for the first time in late April conditions. The course was in excellent shape. Will definitely be back to play this summer. It offers a variety of holes with really fun elevation changes and interesting greens. It will challenge you to make a wide array of shots in order to score. It was a challenge, but high handicappers would also enjoy.
Excellent Spring Golf
Course is in excellent shape for this early into the season. I play here a lot and would consider this my home course but I was pleasantly surprised about how good the conditions were for this early into the season: Couldn’t believe how well the greens were rolling for early spring - they’re fast and firm. Bartlett Hills undoubtedly boasts some of the best greens in the Chicagoland area, as they cut and roll them every morning and put in the necessary effort for upkeep. The bunkers, fairways and tee boxes are in decent shape, since they are still in the process of getting everything up to par and the standard they’re typically in when the seasons in full swing, but that’s to be expected so early into the season and because we haven’t had much good weather yet. The greens fees always reasonable compared to a lot of other courses in the area that are either inferior or already charging absurd prices for subpar spring conditions that aren't satisfactory for the price, but even during peak season the price is always reasonable.
Best greens around
Not the longest course but the greens were so firm and fast. I play a lot of local country clubs and I would say these are some of the best greens in the area. Something you don’t normally see from a park district course
