About
Bartlett Hills Golf Club has been a favorite Chicagoland golf destination since it first opened in 1929. To keep the layout up to modern standards, it has undergone many changes over the years but it still has the same classic character. At 6,463 yards from the back tees, this traditional layout might not be long but it still provides a fair test. Rather than distance, the golf course demands smart play and accurate shot placement thanks to narrow, tree-lined fairways and several tricky doglegs. You might not have many chances to use your driver but you'll definitely get some iron practice. There isn't too much trouble off of the tees at Bartlett Hills G.C. But greenside you'll be faced with nearly 30 strategically placed bunkers and water hazards come into play on seven holes, which include some forced carries.

Greens are so fast
What a great time! I normally play St. Andrew’s but heard about the greens at Bartlett and had to give it a try. Fastest greens I have played all year.
Unless it's a hot deal take a pass
First time I've ever had a course delay my tee time back upon arrival. Was told they had an outing and were behind, proshop did give me a range ticket for free to compensate but I made the tee time a week in advance. Conditions were pretty much inline with the local Forest Preserve courses. If it's not a hot deal take a pass and play elsewhere.
All greens are very tough none are level and very fast

Interesting layout, lots hills, greens move fast, lots of 3 putts

It’s our go to course. Always in good shape and always friendly inside.
Doesn’t know it’s place
I’ve been playing here since I was on the golf team in high school. The rates have gotten so astronomical that you can now play Arrowhead in Wheaton for a similar rate on a weekend afternoon. The golfnow price is different from the course pro shop. The course is in fair condition, but you don’t get what you pay for. It’s a shame because it used to have reasonable rates, but I can’t ever recommend this place anymore. I have so many good memories here, but I’m probably not coming back for awhile.
Staff was friendly, range was decent. Only played for the hot deal. Course was super bumpy with penalizing rough. Round took 4.5 hours had to wait on multiple groups. Greens were tricky to read many breaks right at the end.

Still vey nice
It’s been almost 2 years since I’ve been out here. Greens are still very good. They are about the 3rd quickest I’ve played all year. Fairways were in nice shape also. Some of the bunkers were under construction and I noticed a couple of others were very muddy. Others were just fine. Staff is always great here. Hopefully I get back quicker next time.
Short Game
Greens are very fun. A bit surprised by the speed for a park district run golf course. Course was very fun. Better stay below the hole and when chipping, greens are very hard. Allow for some runout cause it will not stop right away. Hot dog at the turn was very good.
