Nice but very slow pace
The Ranger wasn't around allowing the pace to slow down a lot. We unfortunately ended up skipping the last 3 holes after entering the fifth hour of play.
The course was in very nice condition so early in the season which made the delays a bit more tolerable.
Course is very basic.
Saw 3 sand bunkers on entire course. Very basic and straight forward. Huge fairways. Not challenging at all. But clean and decent grass throughout course.
Bad Fairways
Not much course maintenance since the end of last season.
Greens were fairly decent, however!
Thank you for your feedback, and we apologize that course conditions impacted your experience at Indian Boundary. Our agronomic team works hard year round to ensure our course is in top notch condition. Each spring, we need a certain window of time to bring the course up to full performance, and with that, conditions will gradually improve as the weather gets warmer. We are excited to see spring is here, and hope to see you again soon at Indian Boundary.
As many times as I've played the course, they should name it for me!
Perhaps resort courses are in better condition, but at my age most are simply too hard. Indian Boundary gives me an opportunity to play an interesting course, while also providing a reasonable chance to score well.
good price!
course was worth the price. without golf now price, a bit high for spring!
course to entertain friends
Convenient in terms of location from airport and northwest suburbs, surrounding is very beautiful because of forest, flowers and deer. Relatively easy to play and gives comfort and enjoyment.
Muni golf decent price
Wouldn't pay over $22 for this course. I grew up playing it and Edgebrook which Indian boundary has an advantage over. It's a beginner course which is why my wife and I played it. We were paired up with two other females one who was a beginner like my wife and the other played better so it worked out pace of play wise. Course was a bit busy but the time for the round was about average at a muni public. Many holes the rough wasn't a penalty so much an extension of the fairway. Only difference was the darker green for the rough lighter green for the fairways. Wish that Casper golf and the county would put some money into this course, chick evans and highland woods like they did with George dunne and joe louis. Course is convenient and on golf now is cheap enough that I wouldn't mind playing it more with some money/tlc pumped into the course to make it nicer for one and two make it a bit more challenging. Instead of a cheap quick last minute golf fix.
Too Slow
This course routinely ranks as one of the most-played in the entire Chicago area. The foursomes are sent out at 7 to 8 minute intervals and the groups stack up on the par 3 tees like so much cord-wood. A marshal would help, but there was none to be found (on a SATURDAY afternoon). However, there was a beverage cart, staffed by a young woman who had no problem stopping to sell beverages to groups as they played in the fairway! Very convenient, but very very slow... 5 hours after teeing off, I walked off the course, having played 16 holes...
Thank you for your feedback, and we apologize that pace of play affected your experience at Indian Boundary. We are diligently working on ways to improve pace. Please click the link below for more details. We hope we will see you again at Indian Boundary this spring.

Indian Boundary
Public course packs groups very close which slows pace of play. Waited at several holes.
SLOW!!!
Average difficulty course. The issues we had were with the pace of play. We were put behind 3 different outings. It took almost 3 hours to play 9 holes. Left the course after the front because at the turn there were 3 foursomes waiting at the 10th tee box.
You get what you pay for
All in all, good round and fair price. Fairways were long and greens were slow but it was also rainy so I could see this course playing better in good conditions. I'd go back.
Good condition
Very good time course was in good shape would play again very helpful staff
greate gol cours
i will play again nice golf course we real enjoy plaing at indian boundry
Worth it for a quickie
Management this year is doing a great job. Really proactive and friendly. Course is in better shape than the last few years. There is actually grass in certain places that there wasn't.
Staff doesn't work well together.
Not enough golf carts available when we got there. We waited to tee off as soon as someone turned in there cart.
Afternoon Round
Indian Boundary is probably the course I play most often. Booked a tee time for this round to take advantage of the cheaper afternoon rates. The course was in great condition but the pace of play was painfully slow. All the times I've played there it's a consistent problem. There are times when two groups will get stacked up at a tee box waiting on another to finish a hole. There really is no presence of a ranger on the course to keep people moving. Despite slow play Indian Boundary is a great golf course.
"bunkers"
The green were a little too long, they needed to be mowed. Also, the condition of the "bunkers" is just awful. This is an ongoing issue with chicago municipal courses so just be aware. Overall it's a decent course, meant to accommodate the amateur golfer or someone who wants to work on their short game, as I have reached multiple greens from the blue tees and will consistently have 2nd shots inside 125 yards. Like I said it's a good practice course or weekday nice weather course. The staff is always amazing and they have very outgoing personalities. I enjoy this course and will continue to play here often, I just wish they had better bunkers.
Not what I expected
Way over priced. Course was in terrible condition.
Brutal winter and this is a wrecked course
It's not their fault probably because of the winter we just had, but the course is in brutal shape. it think there is as much fairway dirt as grass. I'm sure in a month or two it will be better. Still not worth anywhere near $50 a round.
We are sorry to hear that pace of play impacted your round at Indian Boundary, we understand that pace of play is an important factor in having a great round of golf. Our number one goal is to make sure guests have a fun and enjoyable time at our course.
