Poor fairways.

Fairways are not kept up with big dirt spots all across nearly every fairway. Tee boxes are rock solid and beat up.

Good summer practice course

Played with a friend for an evening round. Course was in good condition. Greens are slow but roll straight to the hole. Good value for the money.

Very ok course and why is this advertised as an 18 hole course?

Paid for 18 holes through golf now but only permitted to play 9. Once I arrived, all bag carts were gone and then had to pay $12 for a golf cart.

The person cutting grass was so ignorant and rude to us paying golfers.. he said the course was closed and was in the line of my guest who had to move her ball as a direct result of the ignorance therefore making a nice day just kinda less pleasant- he didn’t care how much we paid or to who as he informed his boss, who is ???? I’ll think twice before playing Columbus park again

Great for practice

This course is very forgiving. Wide open fairway to help make balls playable. It’s by no means comparable to a country club but definitely a great course to practice.

Rough Fairways

The Casper golf is working on it but Columbus Park golf is always struggling with drainage problems. That seemed to cause a fungus(? problem with the turf. Large areas of the fairways

are grassless. The sand traps are being dug out and refilled with fine sand, the greens were in good shape but tee boxes were rough. On a cool day we were almost alone on the course at 11:30.

its empty at least

Pretty ugly course, basically an empty field with a few greens spread throughout. However, I played midday on a Wednesday and didn't run into anyone. Played 9 holes in about an hour and fifteen. I may go again only because of that...

Practice course with some potential

This is a very cheap course located inside Chicago's Austin neighborhood. It probably could use some updating, but it's ok as it is (a flat easy practice course). I really liked the dogleg par 5 (hole 4 I think) and the second hole (par 3). Unfortunately the course was pretty chewed up, wet, and full of dandelions causing me to lose balls I normally wouldn't. The greens were the nicest part of the course. Almost all of them were in decent shape. If the course were drier, I could see myself coming back here. Also it is important to point out the course is very flat and the fairways are wide. There are almost no trees on the course.

Practice Course

Just a regular course, nothing special at all. Very wide open. Good course for practicing.
