About
Fox Run Golf Links opened in 1984 but over the past two years the course underwent a major renovation that made the layout both more challenging for serious players but also more forgiving for the recreational golfer. The multi-million-dollar renovation included enhancements to the hole layouts, redesigning the bunkers, installing a new irrigation system, and creating new practice and chipping areas. Water comes into play often throughout the golf course and you'll find elevation changes on nearly every green. The water holes will be especially tough if you have a tendency to slice the ball. Thanks to the varied layout, which includes some holes that are wide open and others that are more target-style golf, you will get the opportunity to work on different types of shots. Fox Run Golf Links is a challenging but fair test that players of all skill levels can enjoy.

Greens running true and fast. Great conditions overall.
Haven't given Fox Run much credit lately and they are due deserve more than they receive. Played a very late afternoon round on a whim and didn't expect much. The place was packed with golfers and I was lucky to find a single spot. There has been a drought ongoing but you wouldn't know it by the conditions. Greens were fast and true but also very receptive to approach shots.
The renovations on and off the course are top quality but the rates are more than reasonable. Love the new clubhouse. All staff are nice as can be and you can see that they enjoy what they do. I look forward to returning again and again.

Course is in great shape
Course was playing fast and the greens were in perfect condition. Pace of play was a little over 4 hours and sped up once 2 groups quit after 9. The new clubhouse and water bottle refill stations on the course are nice addition. Always love playing out here.

Was surprised, interesting course layout, well maintained, well worth a visit. Nice clubhouse/restaurant. The only thing missing is adjacent driving range (was told its about a 5 min car ride away)

Fox Run
I did not like this course. The greens past the first 9 were not the cleanest. Lots of divots too and not the cleanest tee offs. We kept getting staff complaining about us playing 5 players. We were 15 mins ahead of phase on a rainy day with no impact to other players time. Don’t threaten to kick players off the course when there is no impact to anyone else’s game or safety. Especially when we are ahead of pace and the course is not kept up that well. I won’t golf here anymore especially when there are so many courses in the Chicago area.
