About
Fox Run Golf Links opened in 1984 but over the past two years the course underwent a major renovation that made the layout both more challenging for serious players but also more forgiving for the recreational golfer. The multi-million-dollar renovation included enhancements to the hole layouts, redesigning the bunkers, installing a new irrigation system, and creating new practice and chipping areas. Water comes into play often throughout the golf course and you'll find elevation changes on nearly every green. The water holes will be especially tough if you have a tendency to slice the ball. Thanks to the varied layout, which includes some holes that are wide open and others that are more target-style golf, you will get the opportunity to work on different types of shots. Fox Run Golf Links is a challenging but fair test that players of all skill levels can enjoy.

Well groomed and maintained
Excellent junior and senior course based on its length but this course excels as a public course maintained and operated by the Elk Grove Park District.
Great Value!!!
Very nice course! Challenging yet forgiving. Awesome clubhouse with full bar and tasty menu! Got a hot deal for $35 but the normal fees seem worth it
Keeps getting better
Course conditions have improved since the last time I played two years ago
Better than I thought it would be.
Getting past the fact that there is no driving range. Everything else about the course was very good. Great staff, greens in very good shape fast and holding. Fairways and the pace of play was also really good.
Not on my list to return
The course is in nice shape, greens are well manicured and roll nice. I didn’t like the layout though. Course is really cramped, super tight and a lot of water. Many of the hole designs were really annoying. Long par 4s with minimal landing area for driver for example. Combine that with a 5 hour pace and we left pretty frustrated.
Played with 3 Randoms was out in the area looking to golf somewhere different was a great choice to go here on a weekday definitely worth the price. Pro shop staff very friendly. will be making the trip back to golf here eventually.
3 Group off and Still slow
I grabbed a 6:20am tee time on Friday July 5th hoping to keep a quick pace. Unfortunately the 6:10am group were somehow keeping a 5hour round pace. Spoke to the ranger. He knew they were slow but yet did not say anything to them. We jumped in front of them at the turn to realize they were also putting off groups for 9 holes on the back 9. Everything else was nice but I would stay away on any weekend or Holiday.

Challenging, fun, great shape. Played nine in two hours.
