Broken Arrow Golf Club - North/South
About
Located just 40 miles southwest of Chicago's Loop, Broken Arrow Golf Club is one of the most popular golfing facilities in the area. The club offers 27 holes of championship golf, divided into three unique nines that offer different challenges and scenery. The golf courses: East, North, and South, are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The North/South is the most scenic of the courses. The North is especially beautiful, but it also has another distinction. It is the only course in the Midwest with a dual-green concept. The design allows golfers to control the difficulty of the course by offering the option to play to either of the two flags on each hole. The club's former use as a farm is evident on the South nine where the original farmhouse and silo can be seen from the first tee box.

Awesome
Had a blast on this course great pace, great place!
Slow play
Group in front of us had three carts, and
had two open holes ahead if them at the finish.
Nice Course
The course was in great shape overall, Greens were a little in consistent with some rolling out others being a bit sticky. Really liked the layout, a course that if you haven't played before it has some tricks. The on course yardage is adequate, 150 stakes would be an improvement. With no gps on the carts, using the GN app or another means of knowing where you are on holes would be a big help.
Only real negative was the lack of food offerings. Not sure if they had slimmed down with recent increase in COVID restrictions? Played through the lunch hour and my best option was a candy bar.
Great course for Chicagoland
This was my second then playing the course and it’s still as great as j remembered. The course is in awesome condition, it has a lot of challenging holes and various layouts. I’d recommend to anyone!
Could be good
Very fun layout. All traps are very bad. If these were fixed it would be a nice course
Nice Track, but needs a little TLC
I play 70+ rounds a year all over the country, but a lot in Chicago land area at over 20+ courses. I usually play Broken Arrow a couple of times a year, i used to consider it my home courses. Friendly layout but still challenging, especially if the wind is blowing.
Sand Traps were in horrible condition. Whatever “sand” they are using it does not stand up well to rain and does not drain it only compacts. Based on the rain this week traps were unplayable.
Greens were in good condition but on the slow side and that was frustrating.
Tee Boxes could use a little crab grass removed and replaced with some decent sod.
Pace of play was great for a Saturday 4.5 hours.
Good neighborhood course
Wery nice neighborhood course. You see alot of houses and thats ok we are pretty much in an urban area.
The course is in great shape and has alit of challenging holes. Only downside was snack bar and restaurant were closed
Course in Good shape
Greens were fast, and fairways played superb. Rough was neutral, but easy to get out with power shots.
Nice course
Good course for sure. Good condition. A few bunkers are not the best. Other than that I the course is in good shape. There are a lot of challenging holes as well.
Broken Arrow - Red/White
Great course, great condition, nice greens, good challenge!!! Our round was just a little slow.
My favorite public course
I play a lot of courses across Chicago - usually 75-80 rounds a year- and for the value Broken Arrow is my favorite public course in Chicagoland. It’s challenging but fair. The greens are always in great shape. The staff is always super friendly (especially Bob the starter). The price in comparison to other clubs is a great value.
Never had a bad experience here and it’s always a great day at Broken Arrow
Needs a lot of work
So many weeds everywhere. You could not play out of almost all the sand traps. No cart girl on. Saturday? The place is run down - more so then a couple years ago. I proabbaly won’t be back until they improve the course or drop their rates in half
