Mt Prospect Golf Club

Tremendous strategic holes that make you think about every tee shot without being too penal. The variety in hole length lets you hit different clubs and while providing a lot of variety. Putting surfaces are challenging - a respite from boring flat greens.

A few corky holes for sure, especially on the back 9. Nice layout, just some absurd holes will putting surfaces that will make you scratch your head. Try this course once!

Don’t count on quick morning round. We were first tee time off 1 but bc they let groups off 10, we waited on every shot from 12th hole on. Called pro shop with no response. No ranger.

I like this course because it is sufficiently long for a par 70 and has a few interesting tee shots & approaches. Many greens are well guarded by bunkers and mounds so you can't just run it up. The curvature of the greens is often a bit too extreme for my tasted but the course is in good shape overall. I would recommend aerating the tee boxes as they are packed so hard you can't drive a nail in them let alone your tee.

Worth at least one visit. The course and practice greens were in perfect condition. Just enough water and sand bunkers to test all your skills. Elevation changes on the fairway can be challenging at times. My friend and I enjoyed the course so much we decided to play it again the following week.

The starter at this course ruined my game and I will never golf at this course again. When we got to the course at 5:50am this morning, we went to the pro shop only to find that the tee time I called in had not been made. The pro shop still was able to get us out at 6:10, but when we got to the starter, he referred to us at “the. Group without a tee time”. We went out and shot a normal round on the front 9, but when we made the turn, the crazy eyed starter was waving his hands and screaming at us like an angry child. He said the whole course is backed up because of how slow we were playing. We teed off at 6:10am and made the turn at 8:05. That’s hardly slow... When we told him the cart said we were on time, he just said “technically that’s right but you need to pick it up”. That doesn’t even make sense! Very bad experience....

The greens are very challenging with all the contours and slopes. You will hit every club in the bag. Great courses have memorable holes and this courses has 18 of them. 5 hour round expected playing at 12:30 and challenging greens. Rough height was perfect as you could find your ball but still have a tougher shot being in the rough. Saw the beverage cart 5 times which was unexpected being such a full course of players. Next time I will try to play early to get smoother greens, not a knock on conditions just a little bumpy which was expected playing at 12:30 behind 160 players. I will be back!!!

Mt. Prospect is a really nice layout! Trees plentiful with a lot of variation. Greens are especially difficult. Only issue was too many golfers do not replace their ball marks on the green! Made the greens that much more difficult. Overall a great course and will continue to hit it.

Course is in great condition. Well worth the price. Private club feel for a park district golf course. I will be back!

Course was in great shape. Despite being packed(think they had leagues that morning) pace of play was perfect. Had an amazing time. Will be back again.

Great golf course and value. Great condition and an enjoyable walkable course. Only concern is no course map so difficult to figure out course first time playing. Had good playing partners so that helped out.

Overall, will definitely be back.

The course layout requires tactical planning for a decent score. Distance is less critical. Fun course to play, but pace of play was a little frustrating.
