Unfair large sloped excessively undulating greens. .
Pin placements on large sloped excessively undulating greens unfairly punished good shots by funneling balls off green into high thick rough and made mid-length putts virtually unmakeable. Lack of distance markers in fairways and on Par 3's bad for walkers. Good conditioning, nice flat tee boxes, firm turf. Best sand in metro area. Outstanding tee-to-green design and hole variety. Played in 4 hours on a busy afternoon.

Tight just like I like it
Phenomenal shape, greens complexes are elaborate. Definitely one of the better Muni’s in the area.

Fun Greenpads Nice Conditions
4.5 stars. Wonderful to be back at Mt. Prospect. Read my previous reviews below. Course will drive beginners and below average players crazy. Advanced players will love this place. Tons of interesting golf architecture. Very good practice facilities and a well done clubhouse. Highly recommend a round or three each season at this gem. Can be expensive but look for deals.

Well priced course
Nice pace of play. Quality conditions. Friendly staff. If it wasn’t 6am i would’ve enjoyed a few cold ones!!

Fun Course!
This is a shorter course that makes up for that distance difficulty with a few very different hole designs and extremely challenging greens. Each hole can play very differently depending on the day based on where the hole locations are. Lots of multi-tiered greens!

Top Notch Course Transformation
Based on a review of this golf course on thefriedegg.com, my son and I decided to play Mt. Prospect Golf Club. We were not disappointed in our decision! We were quite fortunate to be paired with two players very familiar with the course as they have annual memberships - their insights provided us with a most enjoyable round of golf. The golf course was dramatically transformed through a redesign by Dave Esler, who incorporated many architectural principles of C. B. Macdonald and Seth Raynor including many of the famed green complexes found at Chicago Golf Club - Redan, Biarritz, Double Plateau and Punchbowl. Each hole is different from each other and requires a unique strategy from tee to green. The green complexes are amazing and with large undulations and subtle breaks even when they appear to be level, successful putting requires local knowledge and most likely multiple rounds. Many thanks to Jerry and Bobby for an enjoyable round and drink afterwards. I'm looking forward to returning to play Mt. Prospect Golf Club again in the near future.
