Horrible condition do not play
Tee box www chewed up . Fairway grass was to long did not cut . Sand traps where horrible. No gps on carts . Flag on green too hard to see , it’s only worth $40 to play , I receive playing elsewhere for $85
Horrible Pace !!!
Great course and in excellent condition!! Be prepared for a 5 hour + round !!!!!! No rangers on the course and you literally will wait every hole the entire round !!! Plus way over priced for the pace of play would not recommend to anyone!!
Too much poop
I didn’t think the course was in good shape, fair at best. There is also a Canada goose problem with poop all over the place. I guess they were trying to scare some of them away by firing off some loud blasts. Very disturbing when you are in the middle of a shot. Pace of play was slow - waiting on every shot. There was also no starter at the 1st tee. When I checked in at the pro shop I was giver a receipt and a cart key No indication where to go for the carts, 1st tee, nothing. This was our 1st and last time at this course.
Never again
The starter didn't exist to check anyone in. We were put on the tee boxes, that need to be cut by the way, in front of a 4 some moving at turtle pace and some how they ended up in front of us. Another group that was driving around chasing geese with kids in the cart taking about an hour per hole ended up slowing us down even further. They were extremely disruptive and had no course etiquette or respect for anyone around them. The course layout has you being hit into or hitting into someone nearly every hole. The ranger did find a club we left behind and was incredibly nice enough to drive it to us! Didn't catch his name but he was an older gentleman. Overall the course was in desperate need of maintenance and organization.
Eh
The course itself is in decent shape and lots of interesting hole layouts that provide challenges shots. I liked many of the holes I played from a layout standpoint.
The issue was, and why I’m offering a negative review, that the pace of play sucked, holes are right on top of each other (shared tee boxes, tee boxes nearby previous greens, multiple groups in “no man’s land” looking for their balls if sliced right. Had a 9a tee time and didn’t get out until closer to 9.10-9.15, and a wait the entire time. Not sure what the starter was doing.
I quit after a 2.5 hour front nine, because I need to be done faster than 5 hours. Do want to emphasize that this is in no way reflective of a lack of friendliness from staff. The pace of play was simply terrible.
Great bang for your buck
Given the time of year, course conditions were phenomenal. Some of the tee boxes were a little run down but considering the time of year they were in overall good condition and what issues existed were not bad enough to warrant docking points. Unfortunately, we had a later tee time so while the weather was great and there weren't many players on the course it did mean that the snack shack was shut down by the time we finished the 9th hole. It would be great to see this open longer in the future, especially in peak season. Also, I think the course would benefit from some improved signage for different holes. There was a group ahead of us that got lost around the hole 10,11, and 12 complex which slowed everyone behind them down quite a bit. Despite these issues(and they're pretty minor tbh) I thought this was a great course and I will definitely be coming back at some point.
Butter cut
I’ve been playing here a couple few times a year for the better part of 15 years. Over that time,, the track has been maintained consistently, but the grass gets a little long on the tee boxes and the rough catches errant shots with little sympathy. Greens are smooth and roll on the slow side. To be successful here, learn how to hit a butter cut. A lot of the holes move left to right and angles to the greens are better on the right. Staff is friendly and efficient - even in the morning for those sunrise tee times.
