Needs some TLC
Interesting and challenging course layout.
Staff less than friendly.
Facility needs to be updated.
Greens look good from a far but the locals do not fix ball marks and they drag their feet. Making for unmanageable and unreadable putts.
Hard pan fairways and uneven lies abound.
Will not be playing here again.
Great Location and great play
Pace was wonderful! Great weather, even with the rain yesterday. Downpour, and the course was in great shape!
GPS in the carts is a lovely addition and feature. A good mix of open holes for players like me, and some “target golf” Where you can’t use driver off the tee, which most courses fail to have.
Will be returning!
Back in the Rotation
Played here a couple seasons ago and was really disappointed with the pace of play, course conditions and staff. So much so my group took it off our rotation.
I heard about the new management and all the improvements to the conditions and new golf carts and I was very pleasantly surprised. Night and Day from my last round there. Great job by the new management group. Centennial is Back!
pay a crew to mow
first, i live within 45 min of the course.
second, i get the same amount of rain.
third, i mowed my yard.
finally....this course is nothing but rolling hillls and blind shot golf. it was unbelievably wet on a course with this kind of terrain. the drainage must be nonexistent. i played in the fairway with grass, not thick, 5” tall. its hard to believe they hadn’t mowed in over a week. $31 on a hot deal with cart path only rule and fairway rough was not a good combination for me to play it again any time soon.
fishy review!
Too Dang Slow
Weather was perfect. Company was great. Pace of play was incredibly slow. They allowed a 4-some to play at a 5-hour pace through 12 holes before they were asked to speed up. By then it was too late. Round took 4:55. Way too slow for that course. I always enjoy Centennial's layout. It was great that they had a cart girl selling drinks on the course. That helped with the slow play.
ive never seen a ranger or beverage service on the course here. i just played and they have had a skeleton crew for weeks because of the covid thing. sounds fishy to me.
Don’t see this course being a 4 star
It’s a cool layout but greens are really slow, fairways are not in good shape not sure what’s going on.. I’m used to playing top of the line golf courses but this course is no where near that.
Gone downhill
I’ve played this course for years on and off and I’ll likely not be back. It is not being run well at all now. It’s a Socia environment not unlike a fancy country club, except the quality is that of a municipal goat ranch. Your high-tech cart will beep and ding at you constantly to slow down, remind of of their alcohol policies (no joke - 6 times before the 1st tee), speed limiters, and constant warnings. They are SUPER concerned about people bringing outside alcohol onto the course. There was no cart service. Trash cans had not been emptied, pro shop were just a couple kids who were disinterested. Bathroom was dirty, had to clean the seat myself. Poor, poor, poor.
Has some interesting holes
The day I played recently was a “cart path only” day due to wet conditions. There were plenty of squishy places in the fairways so frequent moving the ball out of casual water was the order of the day. I have played Centennial GC enough to know what to expect. Greens are normally in good shape and roll pretty well. Not fast but fair. Of the public courses in this area I would rate this a 6 overall. The staff is nice. The price is reasonable. It has an interesting variety of holes. Pace of play is usually ok. 2 or 3 fairways slope to the left or right which can turn a good drive into a bad result. It is definitely a course that knowing the layout can really help your score.
Nice Course
Have played this course often in the past. It is a fun course to play-challenging holes and scenic. I always enjoy this course even when I play badly. Highly recommend. It does get crowded and like all courses it takes just one or two slow foursomes that slow down the round for everyone else.
Great Course
Even though it was wet this day, it was a great day for golf on this course. I would highly recommend this course!
Well worth it
Rainy conditions the night before had cart path only which slowed play a little but other than that it was awesome. Challenge and forgiving, beautiful homes and wildlife all of course.
A little above average-
Fairways and greens are usually good and well maintained other than a few soggy places with sprinkler system leaks. Some greens have crazy slope. The layout is good overall with some unique holes. #1 is a tight par 5 that requires 3 good shots to reach the green in regulation. #18 is a ball gobbler. Just enough water to make high handicappers crazy, mostly creeks with 1 small pond on a par 3. Pace of play is average . A nice clubhouse with restaurant and fairly friendly staff. Practice area is average.
Tough Greens
Enjoyed the course. Great conditions. Very friendly staff, and great bar in the clubhouse. Pins all seemed to be on crowns and difficult locations. Greens were in great condition though. A few strange hole layouts.
