COVID round
Played under covid guidelines. Course in good condition overall...a little wet and the greens still had signs of aeration holes. Otherwise nice...pretty open, not a lot of trouble to get in to.
Solid course for a tune up
Staff was sooo pleasant. On a cold morning, I was greeted with a smile and put out on the course quickly. Got in my 18 in 2 hours flat playing 2 balls per hole. Course is short with a lot of par 3 but more than enough par 4s for those that like to pull the driver out. A lot of beer cans and cases left around the course - I think groups go out later in the day - and I assume it’s these groups that did the damage to the greens I noticed. Aside from that, the course provided a solid venue to work with every club in my bag.
Good Play for the Money
Short course, par 65, if you’re looking to work on your short game this course the place with many par 3’a. Somewhat challenging pin placement and gives golfers the opportunity to play shots they normally wouldn’t. Will play here again.
Nice way to spend a few hours
Nice course, not the longest but long enough
Staff is very nice, mostly volunteers and very helpful
Layout squeezes into the terrain forcing a few back to back par 3s
A great value and you get around in under 4 hours
Same as always
Getting stuck behind 5 players is never fun especially the ones that cant play golf.moving the empty beer cans off the tee boxes and watching these idiot's parking the carts on the greens didn't make for a good round. When the ranger finally tried to move them along not off only along the damage was already done . I gave up after 11 holes reminding my self why do I come back here always slow slow play.
Great bang for the buck !!! No drink cart on weekdays, so plan ahead at the clubhouse bar/stand (they were very accomidating with bags of ice to keep beverages cold).
If you need to practice your game this place is wonderful.
Alot of par 3's to help build up your confidence.
Finished round in about 3 hours
stay way from this course
I normally don't do this but today I had the WORST experience. The Golf course Ranger was a completely dissaster. I come to Chicago ones a month for business and I like to enjoy a nice golf course after meetings and calls. I got to the course about 8:30 AM and a nice lady at the pro Shop advised me that I need to be at the 10th hole before 9:30 Am because there is a group of 8 schedule at that time, well I went to the green for about 20 minutes and then approached to the 10th hole. After my first shot, when I was waiting for the group on from of me to step out of the green, this unprofessional (course Ranger), told me to leave because there was a league playing and I was not supposed to be there. I understand that they may have an event but the way he approached to me was so disrespectful that I had to leave the course immediately.
Ones again, I normally don't like to do this, but I will never go back to that course. If you still want to go, I hope that you get a different experience and you probably will enjoy your time there.
I just want to mention some courser that a visited before around that area that really care about customers experience not like this one.

A little gem.
Great place to work on your short game. Well kept for a busy municipal course. Challenging greens. I will be back.
Always a fun time at Stony Creek
It's always a pleasure to golf at Stony Creek Golf Course. Friendly staff, good value, good pace of play and a well maintained course!
Thumbs up!!!
Quiet and secluded
Other than the constant planes you would have no idea that you were in Chicago the way this course is tucked into the woods. Wide forgiving fairways and deer running across the fairways multiple times during our game.
Stoney Creek Golf Course
This is the first time that I played this course. I enjoyed the layout, the nice fairways and greens. I initially picked this golf course because it was shorter in yardage than most golf courses in the area, yet it was an 18 hole course. I played with my adult daughter, who hasn't played golf since she was a little girl. I was amazed by the variety of holes and also by some of the carries over water. I was also amazed at how well she did under the circumstances. I am looking forward to bringing my grandchildren out to play here as well. Dan Mackey
