Fun time
Brought some beginning players and they had a blast. Wasn’t to difficult and had a lot of fun
Good value
Great value and challenging course. Great practice course or a course for beginners. Greens are tough.
Solid course
Played a second day in a row. Very well maintained. Course is on the short side think there is only one par 5. Does not feel quite like the typical “executive” course however. Several challenging holes that go back and forth over the creek. I will be back.
Great Course
Front nine has a lot of par threes but the course is great. Well maintained. Could ask for more at this price range. I will be back.
Great Value
Played 5/18, course was in pretty good condition. A little wet because of recent rain but overall few complaints. Great value for the money.
As a heads up this course is a par 66, which I didn't realize until playing.
My Local Muni
Steve Jobs wrote that the six best doctors in the world are sunlight, rest, exercise, diet, self-confidence and friends. At Stony Creek you have them all. Sunlight, exercise and friends are usually part of golf and they lead to rest. A good diet is available in the clubhouse. Self-confidence can found on the range and the practice green. So, Golf is good for you! I live within a mile of Stoney Creek, play there often and love it. Not long, but tricky with large greens and the creek in play on seven holes.
First game of the year.
Such a beautiful day to play. Course was immaculate. Can’t wait to go back again. Maybe I can buy my own cart though. Walking the 18 was tiresome to the max. I’m still in pain.
COVID round
Played under covid guidelines. Course in good condition overall...a little wet and the greens still had signs of aeration holes. Otherwise nice...pretty open, not a lot of trouble to get in to.
Solid course for a tune up
Staff was sooo pleasant. On a cold morning, I was greeted with a smile and put out on the course quickly. Got in my 18 in 2 hours flat playing 2 balls per hole. Course is short with a lot of par 3 but more than enough par 4s for those that like to pull the driver out. A lot of beer cans and cases left around the course - I think groups go out later in the day - and I assume it’s these groups that did the damage to the greens I noticed. Aside from that, the course provided a solid venue to work with every club in my bag.
Good Play for the Money
Short course, par 65, if you’re looking to work on your short game this course the place with many par 3’a. Somewhat challenging pin placement and gives golfers the opportunity to play shots they normally wouldn’t. Will play here again.
