Only completed 14 holes in 4 hours
Great course, staff and amenities; however, the 7 minute tee times, number of pairs golfing on their own and general player etiquette (I.e. playing multiple balls, hitting into groups ahead) made it impossible to complete 18 holes with a 3:00 start time. Would only recommend if they space out their start time, you get the first time, or perhaps if the weekday is less busy.
Fun time, mediocre course
The North course was in good condition and it moved at a decent pace. It is however, ver easy. Nearly no water, out of bounds areas, etc. This is a course designed for a beginner or very casual golfer, but if that describes you, it will be fun.
Terrible sands, bad pace of play.
Love south course here. But they had an “hour” frost delay which turned into 1:45. I get there is nothing to do but you gotta try to email people or offer them a refund. The starter then when on the tee yelled at us to hurry up saying the group in front was 250 yards out and you won’t hit them….so then we told him no we can hit it 260-275 and he continued to argue and complain with us. No player assistance anywhere on course and groups were 3-4 deep on Each hole. Took 7 hours for one round. Sands were unplayable. And staff was extremely rude minus the cart girl who was efficient.
Great course
We played Silver Lake South course. Beautiful, lush layout. Challenging and fun course. We noticed course renovations and tee box improvements including new ball washers throughout the course.
Early season round after monster rains
The South course was in pretty good shape. Mostly drained of the monster rainfall from 24 hours earlier, but still cart path only.
Frost delay at 40 degrees?
Never actually played this day. Overnite temps never dropped below 40, but somehow when i show up to my 716 tee time, they tell me there is a two hour frost delay. There is no frost in sight anywhere, so I am not sure what that was all about. Not gonna wait 2 hours, so went to another course, and asked about any frost delay, and he looked at me like I was crazy. Went straight out, and of course not even a hint of any frost. Normally really like silver lake, but not a good experience this day. Maybe a phone call to let your patrons know about the fictional 2 hour frost delay?
Course in good shape
They should have special golf rates
for Military…..and also Police, Firefighters
and First Responders like Odyssey Golf
Course has every day of the week..Would
like to have a response.. Thanks
* I am not affiliated with Silver Lake at all*
But… go play at Odyssey, every day of the week then.
