Tight fairways require accuracy
Greens were a little slow but overall course was in good shape. The rangers should move play along better.
Great course and nice area.
The course is somewhat challenging and usually not very busy. You can play at a nice pace during the week.
Overall good course
Only blaring problem is the slow play. Perhaps a ranger out there would help. Will not play here on the weekends as the rounds go past 5 hours. Beware the men's bathroom at the clubhouse, entry door is too close to the sink and is a broken hand waiting to happen. Needs a renovation.
Fun track
I am a 12 handicap golfer and still found this course to have enough challenge to make it worth going back. I played with a group from the white tees and look forward to going back from the blues. It's a totally different look from the back tees on this course. Most holes were in great condition considering the heavy rains recently. There were many doglegs but the rough was not heavy so it was easy to find any errant balls. Fun time, I recommend.
Would play everyday!
For the amount of rain over the last couple of weeks this place is in increditable shape.
Nice course well kept
December in Chicago and there were more golfers today than there were when we here during the summer! Pace of play was good in spite of the volume. No tee markers or ball washers this time of year, but we survived it with minimum difficulty. Nice place for $22. Well worth it.
Nice course but too expensive
I like Fox Bend but for our area they charge WAY TOO MUCH. You can play some courses near by for less money. I only will play there if we have a coupon.
It was very cold when we played but still the course was in very good condition and the staff was friendly and helpful.
We really enjoyed our experience at Fox Bend as we usually do. The course is always in good condition and provides a challenge but is a great value for the price, especially with the deal we got from golfnow. I will definitley play here again.
Sandy Greens
First time I played this course I thoroughly enjoyed the layout of the course. The greens seemed to have been recently aerated and sanded. I figured this would be a one time thing. Turns out they do this all the time. They dont full out aerate them but they puncture them enough and sand them!! I asked for an explanation from the course and got a poor excuse why they do this so frequently, it completely ruins any sense of putting on them...get lucky I guess. If you dont mind sandy and bumby greens than by all means. There is a McDonalads off the 11th hole, probably the only real reason I would play there again.
I have played this course may times over the past 20 some years and it just keeps getting better.
Great Course I have allways enjoyed playing here.I have played this course may times over the past 20 some years and it just keeps getting better.
Couse with a lot of character
Except for two greens (3 and 5) the course was in great hape and fun to play. Our group enjoyed and definitely will play again.
Fair course a bit expensive for non residents
The course was fun. Great golf shop and 19th hole.
Fox Bend Oswego great course layout with a nice mix of holes
A very fun course, a bit high priced. Overall good course and very friendly and cool staff. A "Big Thank U" to, Keith and Kyle!
course is in real good shape, pace of play long
play this course quite a bit.... always well maintained
but when course is fairly crowded, the pace of play goes WAY up.... lot of old timers enjoy this course.... which is fine...but sometimes i dont have 4.5 + hours to play
Good layout & excellent on-course signs for golfers.
Fox Bend gets a lot of play, but it is a well maintained course. Almost all the sprinkler heads are marked w/yardage to center of green; and they use a unique, but simple feature, that all golfers can appreciate: They use the red-white-blue flag system--to signify that the pin is in what 1/3 section of the green.(Red=front.;white=middle & blue=back)....but the unique feature is they ALSO use a red, white or blue ball, at 150 yds, so even if you can't see the flag on the green--you know if the pin is in the front etc. A great idea!! The course looks easy, but it is deceptively hard. Well worth it.
