Nice course
Great layout and the course was in good shape overall. There was a lot of sand on the greens and a few places under repair, which were my only complaints. Very friendly staff and would definitely recommend!
Nice Muni course, danger on some tee boxes due to driving range. Good course for the money!

Good track, slow pace
Course was in good condition. Fairways, greens and bunkers were good. Pace of play could be better as my group waited to tee off on every hole.

Nice course
Pretty course of moderate difficulty. Appreciated all the rangers on the course making sure people were keeping pace. The restaurant afterward had exactly what I wanted and were very friendly. My only negative is that they need to replenish the toilet paper in the bathrooms.

Why?
Someone got over zealous with new tree placements and severely sloped greens trying to trick up this course in an effort to make it more difficult. The result is an aggravating affair that never approaches anything close to being fun.

A good time at Palatine Hills!
I have played this course may times over the years and I can attest it is a great track. It appears the micro-aerated the greens fairly recently and that always impacts the greens. I also thought they were much slower than normal. Overall it's still a great track and the staff is ALWAYS exceptional!!

Always check
This is a course that you don’t want to play after it rains. Can get very muddy on the last few holes and be cart path only. It’s a scenic course and can be a challenge.

Home Course
Palatine Hills GC is about a mile from my house, and I've played here 25 times since the beginning of 2019. Nice layout, the course isn't boring and is fun to play time after time. Only issue is flooding on the last 4 holes whenever it rains 1.5 inches or more. Still, great value for the money, plus a 3 hole short game area and large putting green and decent sized driving range.

But For......
The course was in very good condition but usually have problems with excess water on holes 14 through 18. Most often they are "cart path only."
But overall, the course and team are usually very good.
The exception is the arrangement with GolfNow. GolfNow is difficult to deal with and I've found it almost impossible to adjust my reservations. Palatine GC should fix this relationship or end it.

Fun course with a great staff
Overall Palatine Hills is a solid municipal course that provides a challenging yet fair test of your golf game. The back nine is prone to flooding if there is heavy rain. Dan, Eric and the rest of the staff are extremely friendly and make any visit a pleasant one. The golf association is a great way to meet new golfers and improve your game by playing in competitive games.
