Greens true but very hard
I play Rob Roy a couple of times a summer. Good value if you hit a Hot Deal. 9 holes - a number of of demanding shots. No real need for a driver hit 5 wood off every tee.
Greens putt very true, but were not receptive to irons coming into greens. It’s been extremely hot the past couple of weeks. Greens look good, just not able to stop balls hit to them.
Course was packed. We played in an hour and 50 minutes at 7:30 in morning
Good value
Fun course to walk or ride. Popular, so it can get slow. Seems to be a lot of older slower golfers. Some holes are narrow with water. Others, wide open. Good time to get some exercise is to walk it mid-afternoon.
Short but challenging
Course is in Very good shape if you’re looking to play a quick 9 on a challenging course. No need to pull out a driver but you need to be fairly straight with a 3 or 5 wood off the tee. Played at 8:10. 1 group ahead of me on the first tee. I was by myself, they gave me the green light to go. Hit a bunch of chip shots and putts and still finished 9 in 90 minutes. Greens are in great shape. Soft and held shots from fairway. Some of the bunkers still filled with water from the weekend , but overall course is in good shape. If you’re looking for cicadas, they’re also here!
. A good outing
Course is in good shape, but the bunkers need some attention.
Thank you for acknowledging our well-maintained course and bringing the bunkers to our attention. We will certainly focus on improving them.
