Great executive course
What a great 9 hole course! Has several +500 yard holes and water on every hole. Maintained very well and a pleasant way to spend an afternoon.
Excellent 9 hole course
This was my first time playing this course and I was rather impressed. I usually shy away from 9 hole only courses, but this course and reviews of it really caught my eye. The course is in good condition overall even after all of the recent rain in the area. It is a challenging course overall, which makes it that much more fun. The staff was great including the awesome and attractive beer cart lady. Pace of play was rather slow, 2 hour 35 minute 9 hole round but that may be attributed to Fathers Day weekend. Will definately play this course again!
Uneven tee boxes
Very few of the tee boxes are on level ground and the ball washers had little to no water in them.
challenge you game
This course is tough but it is a great course to play and there are opportunities to make birdies and pars. For a nine hole course this is the best.
Nice 9 hole course
Good for playing 9 hole with friends.
But, they aerated greens and ball is running too slow.
Maybe a couple of weeks it will be fine.
Nice rounding....
Great challenging 9-hole
This was my fifth or sixth time playing the Oaks course, and the experience was great. A couple of years ago, I was not the best golfer, but now I can play this course without any serious problems. I enjoy coming here because I live in Streamwood, and it is only 5 minutes away from my home. It is a great nine-hole that offers some challenges, especially since water plays into every hole.
Unfriendly Staff
The Old Man at the desk wouldnt allow us check in until 3min before tee off.. the course wasn't at all busy as it was a weekday in september.. and it was already prepaid tee time.. so im not surr why we couldnt check in early... he was very unfriendly and unaccomodating. The course was in nice condition and the greens were undulating. Tough course for a beginner, hole #4 is a bit quirky and unfair.. ok to play once, but service was very bad, so i wouldnt go back.
Nice 9 hole option
Haven't played this course in nearly 20 years. Decent condition and good value. Being nine holes there are a lot of walkers on the course, so the round can be slower than it should be, but overall it's a good option if you only have time for nine.
Good course
Fun and enjoyable course. We'll maintained given the fact it's a 9 hole
Good and Challenging
The course was in good shape and it was a good thing that I had a few people who had played it to guide me a bit. The greens are very challenging overall because of the slopes. the positioning of some of the water is what makes this most challenging since there are very few traps. I would play it again.
Fun day
Better than expected. Nice nine hole course. Played as a double and were matched up with a very nice couple. Perfect weather, great day.
great 9 hole course with 5 par hole and 3 par holes
Awesome 9 hole course with easy and challenging holes
Nice, fun but challenging course
This was my first time playing the course and I was pleasantly surprised. The layout of the course, which includes many holes with water hazards, makes it a challenging course. This is not a grip it and rip it course. You need to think about your next shot. The pace of play was good and the condition of this course likewise. I look forward to playing it again.
Streamwood oaks
this was a pleasant surprise. A long 9 hole course, well maintained, friendly staff, no long waits, plenty of challenges. Water in a challenge to any golfer, fair and well placed sand, good price. Nice.
4th of July Weekend
The course had very little traffic on the Saturday after the 4th of July. Greens and fairways in very good shape. Rough was thick! There is water on every hole on this course. Drive the ball in the fairway if you want to score.
Tougher than you think!
This course should not be underestimated. There are several challenging holes. Course was very wet so played longer than card, and it was windy, so it was a real test. Many regulars play poorly and slow things down - no ranger to quicken the pace - but it wasn't too bad - 2.5hr for 9 holes. GolfNow price makes it reasonable value for the $.
SITTING IN THE PENALTY BOX
This is a nice course, staff is friendly, I enjoyed my round, BUT! As usual I arrived at the course about 30 minutes before my booked tee time. I have never played this course before, so by the time I got my clubs out of the car, and checked in at the pro shop, it was about 20 minutes before my booked tee time. The gentleman who checked me in said I would have to wait till my booked tee time to tee off, which was fine with me. I went outside and sat on a bench, and saw two people teeing off. Then a man came in and checked in after me, and immediately teed off, which was fine with me. Then after I sat there on the bench and watched him proceed with his round. I sat there for about 10 minutes and no one else was there to golf, so I went back into the pro shop and asked the gentleman if I could go tee off. He said NOPE, because I booked my tee time through GOLFNOW, I would have to wait until it was my scheduled tee time. I asked why, and he said that's their policy for people who book through GOLFNOW. So I went back to the outside bench, and sat in the penalty box for another 10 minutes, during which time not a single person had teed off. Doesn't make much sense to me ? ? ? ? ?
IN THE PENALTY BOX
Good course, would play again, BUT. I arrived about 30 minutes before my tee time as I usually do. By the times I got my clubs out of the car, walked into the pro shop, and checked in, the time was still about 20 minutes before my booked tee time. The gentleman in the pro shop told me I would have to wait to tee off until my booked time. There were two people teeing off at that time. Then another man came, checked in, and went and teed off, and then no one was there after that. I waited a while and then asked the gentleman if I could tee off, and he said, NO, I would have to wait till my booked tee time. I asked why was that, and he said it was because I booked my tee time on GOLFNOW. So I sad in the penalty box for 15 minutes, and not a one person teed off during that time. I was told that is their policy with people who book tee times through GOLFNOW.
IS THAT WEIRD OR WHAT? ? ? ? ?
Perfect to walk 9
This is a 9 hole, but a legitimate 9, not a gimme. If you don't have time or money for a full 18, you'll get a great deal of satisfaction out of playing 9 here. It has some challenging holes with a lot of water, and some more moderate holes as well. Pace of play can be brutal at times, but this is a great course for beginners to get comfortable with the game. Plenty of women play here, so if you're looking to introduce your wife to the game, this is a great option.
good course for senior
Pretty some hole be challengable. It is flat course. Good walking for senior and female. Some what challengable for senior and female player. For senior advanced player wonderful. Pretty enjoyable 9 hole.
Next time just go ahead and Tee it up! They don't pay much attention to what is going on out there ! LOL
