The was well kept and the greens were splendid. I recommend this course.
Good value for the money
I used to play this course on a permanent tee time years ago - when this was one of the top courses in the area. It is not maintained nearly as well as it has in the past. That said, the price for this course was fair.
Still a good layout - greens had good speed but the players who normally play here really hurt the course by not fixing divots and ball marks. Not the courses fault - that is what you get when you drop your prices.

Midlane
Nice little course hidden in the Gurnee area. Great layout, well bunkered with water in play on seceral holes. Greens ran fast and true. Pro shop guys were outstanding.
Issue with biting flies near the water hazards, bring insect repellant. Other than that, no complaints.
Plays long enough from the tips, and clever elevation changes around greens make accurate irons a must you really should try this course.

Good Test
Overall nice layout and in good Condition except that they over water ! Tee time was at 8:40 and there still was standing water in the fairways Way too much watering
I understand it is hot but over watering causes its own problems
Pace of play is average. Never saw a ranger and they could use one Played in 4:15. A little too slow. Played another course on Tuesday about the same time and played in 3:06. - threesome both times
Problem is not only theirs. Many courses think 4:30 is a good time.
Live about 50 miles away so have to get a great deal to come back here

challenging layout
Excellent practice area, course was in very good shape,
two negatives: women's tee boxes are very small and no beverage cart service during the whole round. Value rating based on hot deal tee time.

Great price for a great course
Course is always in great shape. Lots of water and some tight fairways make it fun and challenging. Good staff that is always friendly. Saw the cart girl plenty of times. Always a great place to play any day of the week.

Great Course! It was in great condition. Some of the tee boxes were over ran with goose droppings but we just moved up or back.

Great Course-Midlane CC
First time playing the course. Talked with the Pro at time of check in and he gave useful tips about certain spots to be in off the tee. Greens ran very true, just a tad slow, but we were an early tee time 6:10. Condition of the course and the layout are challenging. Only complaint is there is no water stations on the course and we did not see a beverage cart until the 17th hole.

Not user friendly
Course is challenging and in good shape. It was a very hot Saturday afternoon; there's no water on the course and we did not see a cart once. The pace of play was horrendous; no ranger, 4 groups piled up, we actually left after 16. We had a great deal but will not come back.

In great shape
A good value for a suprisingly challenging layout. Course is well maintained, and generally has a good pace of play. Worth the exta few minutes to drive to.

Great layout, just needs a little TLC to become five star
I've golfed this course quite a bit and I like the value I get as its a great layout. Just needs a little bit more groundskeeping maintenance and some more sprinkler yardage markers. The one thing I haven't really tried out but will next time is the practice facility as it looks excellent. Other than that, its one of the best values on golfnow.com and I'll keep coming back.

beautiful course kept in awesome condition
overall great experience, course has 1st class pro shop accommodations great food and super helpful staff. A very challenging layout that favors the conservative shot approach. cant wait to play again soon.

Great course
Great course and difficult with a lot of water around. If you are not bringing your A game you might want to bring a dozen balls. I play here numerous times in the year and the staff is great. They have a range to warm up and the greens are fast.

Good course
First round of the year so we played for pretty cheap. It was a Tuesday in the afternoon so no one was out. Greens had just been sanded but besides that the course played great.

Sloped Geens
Must admit even after playing this course fair amount of times, the greens remain challenging. Not only are the pins placed strategically but the fast greens get faster as the sun dry up the morning dew.
Midlane is not the most difficult course but it definitely can be challenging. Need to be ring A short game in order to put up a decent score.
It was $35 w/ cart for weekend...can't beat the price.

I've played this course a number of times and always have fun with it. There is plenty of variation in hole design with some pretty reasonable challenges based on which tee box you go off from.

Worth the drive
Great natural layout for a challenging course. The golf pro (Michael) is very attentive to the course and it is already in great shape! Each hole is challenging and has its own unique character. I always enjoy playing this course.
