About
Bonnie Brook Golf Course, known amongst locals as simply "The Brook," is one of the most popular public courses on the North Shore. It has even been ranked as one of the top 50 public golf courses in the Chicagoland area. Designed in 1926 by James Foulis, the course has a classic feel to it with challenges that have withstood the test of time. The layout sprawls across a scenic natural landscape accented with gently rolling hills, tall native grasses, and sparkling lakes. The north branch of the Waukegan River also meanders through part of the golf course. The Bonnie Brook layout offers enough of a challenge for advanced players with narrow, tree-lined fairways and subtly tricky undulations throughout the spacious greens, but it is a round that is player friendly enough for any skill level to enjoy.

Great Value
Really enjoyed this course. The course is not overly difficult, but it's very interesting. The course is in great shape from tees thru fairways and greens. The greens are undulating and adds a degree of difficulty. This course is a fun challange. Kudos to the staff. Well done!

Course is in good shape and you can make it as challenging as you want by selecting the appropriate tees.
Greens were Great!!
Great condition. Fairways still had a bit of winter kill on them to be expected. I saw a maintenance worker rolling the greens and I got excited. Walked up to the first green and WOW were they in good shape. They were fast and as close to true as you would expect early season. I played solo(not by choice) and got around in 3:30 with a few threesomes in front of me. Highly recommend!!
Great course
Marshall was great. Bartender was great. Course in great shape. Perfect day. Those who were scared off by rain forecast lost.
Pace was outstanding!
Greens were a bit slow, maybe needed to be cut. But course was in great shape! Lost a couple balls because of all the fallen leaves, but it is that time of year. Will be back next season!
My private country club
It was a gorgeous Fall day with plenty of sunshine and only a brief shower. The Fall colors were at their peak and the course was in great condition. For some strange reason, the course was nearly empty which we were thrilled about.
Beautiful
Today was the most beautiful day Ive golfed at Bonnie Brook. The course is in great shape , alot of the tall bush was trimmed down. Fairways and greens were in great shape . Leaves were to a minimum on the fairways and colors were spectacular. Way to be!
Kudos to the maintenance crew
Golf course in great condition., especially with leaves falling off the trees they are able to keep up so the fairways are clear of leaves as well as the roughs. Challenging greens , especially wit the hole locations.
Enjoy playing this golf course.
Nice course
Challenging for all levels of play. Beautifully kept up at this time of year.
Solid
First time playing at Bonnie Brook.. course was solid. Staff was very nice. Condition and of course was was pretty good, and place of play was fairly quick.. for the money course is good value.
Great layout
Although the course had plenty a yardage markers, would be nice to have GPS.
Secondly, we were told to join two groups before our agreed signed up tee time. We would rather have some time to practice than requiring to join the earlier group.
