About
Bonnie Brook Golf Course, known amongst locals as simply "The Brook," is one of the most popular public courses on the North Shore. It has even been ranked as one of the top 50 public golf courses in the Chicagoland area. Designed in 1926 by James Foulis, the course has a classic feel to it with challenges that have withstood the test of time. The layout sprawls across a scenic natural landscape accented with gently rolling hills, tall native grasses, and sparkling lakes. The north branch of the Waukegan River also meanders through part of the golf course. The Bonnie Brook layout offers enough of a challenge for advanced players with narrow, tree-lined fairways and subtly tricky undulations throughout the spacious greens, but it is a round that is player friendly enough for any skill level to enjoy.

Excellent Golf course
We live this cgolf course. The greens are fast and challenging. Great staff and the couse is well manicured. B kudos to the ground crew!

4 stars instead of 5 due to slow play, it just appeared 2 groups ahead were the slower players, I know this can happen at any course. A ranger can usually assist in keeping play moving. I know the group behind us wasn't happy with the pace, as they mentioned it to us and understood it was 2 groups ahead.

Nice course with an emphasis on ball placement
Overall a really nice course, luckily I got paired with a group that had played the course often to give me pointers. Ball placement is critical & slope of greens makes good approach shots a must. It was raining off & on all morning so they said it made the greens a little easier. Staff was very friendly, although was a little surprised carts didn’t have gps for the $60 I paid.
Would definitely play this course again if I was in area.

Great condition! Ground crew does an excellent job maintaining this course. I love this course with difficult pin placement and fast greens.

A little far for us but worth the drive . Very friendly staff and the course is in great condition .
