About
Bonnie Brook Golf Course, known amongst locals as simply "The Brook," is one of the most popular public courses on the North Shore. It has even been ranked as one of the top 50 public golf courses in the Chicagoland area. Designed in 1926 by James Foulis, the course has a classic feel to it with challenges that have withstood the test of time. The layout sprawls across a scenic natural landscape accented with gently rolling hills, tall native grasses, and sparkling lakes. The north branch of the Waukegan River also meanders through part of the golf course. The Bonnie Brook layout offers enough of a challenge for advanced players with narrow, tree-lined fairways and subtly tricky undulations throughout the spacious greens, but it is a round that is player friendly enough for any skill level to enjoy.

Too many leaves
I know it's fall but course could do a better job removing the leaves most leaves on any course I've seen including Fairways and greens

Nice course
Fun layout for all skill levels. Tree lined fairways for most of the course. But plenty of opportunities to make pars and birdie’s. Friendly environment for all levels of play. Greens are in great condition and and roll true. Can be challenging if you get above the whole as most greens slop back to front. Overall enjoyable course to play. Food and amenities are good and patio area is comfortable if you want to enjoy a beverage after.

great course
Bonnie Brooke is a beautiful place to play with very resinable prices during the week to play . The course and layout is in great shape with challenging pin placements. The greens are the smoothest and consistent I've played all season. Definitely check this place out this season and their food and drinks afterwards our outstanding

I'll be back to Bonnie Brook
First time playing there. Loved the course, everything was pristine, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. I finished the round thinking that I have to come back. Often. The only thing I found odd was that there's only one par 3 on the back nine. There might have been only one in the front, but I can't remember. Somewhere around the 15th hole I asked if there had been a par 3 and I just spaced it. For me, a couple of par 3s a side makes for a nice change of pace. No big deal. It's a five star experience and I recommend Bonnie Brook to everyone.

Bonnie Brook is a beautiful track
Pretty much ideal. Loved the course, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Course condition was pretty much pristine. I wasn't looking for anything to fault, and finished the round thinking that I have to come back. Often.

Unbelievable
Called the course 2.5 hours before my tee time to see how course was playing after a night of heavy rain.
Rain relented and we kept our tee time.
Course played great!
Fairways were not overly impacted by rain, and you got some bounce and roll.
Greens ran true and quick.
Rough was, well rough!
Staff was uber friendly, bar was warm and ry with cold beer and hot food.
